Hey guys. As well as illustrating for the site, I will be doing other Thundercat based artwork. To get us started I have posted a drawing of Mumm-Ra which I did 3 years ago. It was hand drawn and digitally rendered.

Thundertank - 3D Digital Design
Ok found another, This is a 3D experiment of the Thundertank using some new software I got. I also began work on a 3D Cats Lair, but I have yet to complete it.

Kyle…I wish I had as much talent as you do unfortunately all i can drwa are some decent stick figures. Perhaps i can do Thundercats in stick figure format LOL
I love that Thundertank!
Are you going to use that for the site?
I am yet to decide on the method of illustration. The 3D preview here looks great, but can be complicated. Many of the vehicles in the Thundercat universe are rounded and have moulded sections which take alot of time to produce on 3D design software. Therefore I think that models such as this are going to be one-off specials.
Thanks for the feedback Guys
Howdy
Dude they are awesome, I can’t that someone can use PC software and draw like that and I can’t even draw decent stick men
Fantastic work though.

Found some more stuff. Here is a quick animation I did from the Thundercats Intro. Didn’t complete it, but it has given me ideas about potentially animating my own episodes..

New Piece
Ok before I start… I am not a dramatic fan of digital art. I do hope to post some real art very soon. Until then here is a piece I did this afternoon of Tygra.
Again it is hand drawn using Thundercats reference material and then digitally rendered. I have tried to bring a sense of reality to the character whist retaining his features as a Thundercat… Comments welcomed..

Celesta is great at bringing the Tcats to life. I’m sure she’ll really like this version of Tygra…I know I do!
wow!!! That is by far the best Thundercat drawing I have ever seen!!! I love how realistic he looks. You really brought the cartoon to life. Do you do commission drawings???

Thanks for your kind comment. I am by trade a portrait painter… so I always try to bring realism to my subjects. If you like this.. I can not wait to show you some of my painted work. As I said, digital art is nice…but you never get that wow factor you can achieve using traditional methods. My hope is to do a big Thundercat painting over the summer. So keep posted for that. :liono

Do you do commission drawings???
[/QUOTE]
Yes I do. Usually portraits for people (Check out my site www.kzhome.net) . but as I am aware with my new Thundercat audience I am willing to take on Thundercat themed commissions. If you are interested PM me and let me know what you have in mind..
Take Care
Man you are amazing!! Those portraits look like actual photos! I can’t want to see more of your thundercat stuff! I’ll be PMing you when I figure out what I want lol

I am glad you like the portrait work..
I am yet to really have a go at a photo-real picture of a Thundercat yet.. It will take a great deal of research and reference. I am quite excited about the idea of doing one though. I have not yet seen any absolute photo-real work of thundercats yet. So I want my first painting to really push the boundaries between reality and fiction.
It is only recently I have been painting and drawing pictures that people have to look closely at to see if they are photographs or paintings/drawings. :wideeyed:
I have only produced about 3 paintings/drawings that I would consider to be photo-real, so I am very much still exploring this style of art. Therefore before I do the Thundercat piece I want to perfect photo-realism. But trust me, when I get around to doing it, I will make sure it brings the Thundercats to life in a way you would not have thought possible…‘feels pressure mount upon shoulders lol’
Any suggestions for characters you would like to see photo-realistically painted..???
Well after seeing that Thundertank it had got me thinking that I can’t wait to see your take on Vultureman’s Flying Machine!
(my favourite vehicle from the series)
You know what…I might just make that tommorow… I love it when people set me challenges like that..Just had a quick look and there are not too many curves so it should be ok…Watch this space 8)
You do beautiful work. Tygra is just amazing
Flying Machine - 3D Digital Design
Ok.. I had a quick go at the flying machine…and it turned out to be more difficult than I had thought. The software I am using is an arcitechtural tool, not a 3d modeling program… so anything with a head on it is very difficult. Anyway.. I gave it a go and It looks quite like the original.

I have also begun work on a photorealistic picture of Lion-O.. Stay tuned :liono
P.S Thank-you for your comment Purrsia..
Lion-O - Pencil Crayons & Pen
I just had a tidy round and found some of my old artwork. Amongst a bunch of Secondary school work I found this picture of Lion-O. I can’t remember when I did this, but judging by where I found it I am guessing when I was about 10 or 11.
I did this drawing using the dreaded colour pencils (worst things ever lol) and a black pen. At the time I remember loving this picture, but now I know I can do miles better. Anyway, Its still Thundercats Fan Art!!

Cheetara - Pencil, Ink & Digital Render
Here is a more comic style drawing of Cheetara. I like doing comics because they allow link between traditional art and digital art. Hand drawn characters and scenes and digital rendering. They are also very quick to do when you discover a method.
Comics are usually produced in teams.. Pencilers, Inkers and Coulourists.. but I prefer being involved in every stage. This method is fine for one off pieces such as this one..

That Cheetara is breathtaking. AMAZING!
