Kyle's Fan Art

Thanks Manny, I actually enjoyed drawing this because I have not done any comic art for the past year. It is a totally different way of drawing. Not my favourite I must admit, but fun every now and then. Im bursting to get this realistic Lion-O done..

Amazing

OMG This work is amazing. I have never seen Thundercats art like this. That Tygra picture is so brilliant. It makes him look like a person and not a cartoon. I am not as keen on your computer models. They look nice but your other work is much better. I am thinking about getting you to some art for me. I am not sure what. Anyway great work I am going to look at your website in a moment.

My thoughts exactly. :eyepopping:

Thanks Thundercutter and Tygra.. I am glad you both like my Tygra as it is the one I spent the longest on.. I hope to do some more work like this in the near future… But I have many other exciting things lined up.. Keep posted..

He’s lying!

Just kidding! He speaks the truth. Be prepared to be WOW’ed! :yikes:

Everyone’s right, Kyle! Your work is tremendous! I can’t wait to see what else you can do… keep it up, buddy!:tygra:

Ok here is something completely different. I am a student and have a part time job running art workshops with childeren. I make animal models and other things with them.. Anyway..I decided to use a similar method to build a Thundercats themed model. I limited myself to the materials the childeren used and also a 2 hour time limit… and here it is… a Snarf model for kids to make..

That is crazy! It is incredibly awesome, but I also feel the need to destroy it. :duck:

cute

…and yes, I like Snarf. Snarfer on the other hand… well, that’s a whole other matter.

Thanks Guys..

I agree Fuzzy, Snarfer is beyond annoying…I am tempted to make a model of him to use as a stress ball…:mischievous:

Thanks…I think lol…I am thinking about making a Berbil next using a similar method..Maybe one day when I get a real moment of inspiration I will make a Thundercat..

OMG!!! :yikes: :eyepopping: :faint: This is absolutely gorgeous work!!!
I love the facial expressions and the soulful eyes! :pumyraveryhappy:

Lion-O Lives

Ok I been busy recently working on the site, but found time today to complete something I started a while ago. This is a digital photomerge where I have simulated a realistic looking Lion-O. It is a bit sketchy because I got bored towards the end. Anyway here it is..Lion-O Lives! lol

Chris here…

LOL, that’s a really clever job there Kyle! What you’re telling me is that that’s a photo of a real person that you’ve merged to create, in effect, what a live-action movie Lion-O could look like? Nice one!

If I had one constructive comment (and hope you won’t mind me mentioning it), something that struck me about that quite quickly is that the area around his eyes and mouth should be lighter - I’ve never seen Lion-O with designer stubble, although with DC/Wildstorm’s comic series, that’s actually surprising! Seriously though, that minor observation aside, that is a super sweet job, my friend!

Take care…

Cheers for the comment Chris..

In reply to the comment about the lighter areas around the mouth and eyes, I have done that. It may not be showing the same on windows as it does on Mac (different colour configurations) but I have tried to make it subtle (so maybe is hould make it a bit more obvious lol…i will look into it

Wow, Kyle, that’s a fabulous redition of Lion-O!:cheetaraveryhappy: It looks the way I would imagine the character being portrayed in a live-action movie! And, yeah, Celesta would certainly like it along with the ThunderTank and Tygra drawings! Really cool!:liono

KZLambert, when I saw your work it reminded me of some other that I once saw on the web that looked really impressive! I only have the pictures for Tygra and Lion-O that were the best ones (They had Panthro and Cheetara but I didn’t like them at the time).

I don’t know if anyone has seen those before:

Thanks for that post Vintage, I hadn’t seen those before. They are technically very well done. The faces are quite different to that of the cartoon, but very nice pieces.

Great find

I like the Tygra, but not too sure about that Lion-o  He looks way too barbarian, almost like Conan the Destroyer crossed with a WWE wrestler!

I think those images came from a site that tried to depict how a live action ThunderCats movie would look like, in particular the characters. I ran across that site a couple years ago…and I agree, the Cheetara and the Panthro were AWFUL.

Hi Guys, my Mac is in for service, so I haven’t been doing computer stuff. So I decided to go back and do a pencil drawing. This is a picture I have always wanted to draw since I was little. It is from one of the UK Anuals, (Chris will be able to fill you in with which one) and was a picture I have always liked. I only had an hour and a half (otherwise I would have done it in colour) but here is a pic of s-s-slithe holding the sword of omens. I have scanned this using my old PC (hense why it is all grey :frowning: )
