“Whiskers” wasn’t heard last week either. 
Grune & Panthro fought one on one in a flashback in old friends.
I thought we were talking about present day, since the events of the premiere episode, not flashbacks. 
Yeah, but there is such a thing as having too much pride. I think Tygra has a bit too much pride. He thinks he would be a better king than Lion-O and thinks he doesn’t deserve Cheetara (that is more for Cheetara to decide I think).
The only reason why Tygra’s strategy of using the Thundertank worked was because Grune and the lizards were more focused on the Thundercats than the elephants at that point. Granted, I think both plans sucked by themselves but I leaned more towards Lion-O’s and Cheetara’s idea of stealthiness more for saving the hostages first.
The best plan would involve sneaking in to get to the hostages with the tank as a backup for when the sneak team gets to the hostages or when things go bad. This way it minimizes hostage casualties and ensures the lizards are driven off so they can go after the stone.
I don’t think Cheetara was being a jerk as she was just mentioning a trait tigers have generally have (one lions share). No what should **** you off is that Cheetara is pretty much blind/ignorant to Tygra’s interest in her (though he hasn’t really helped by not making a move for all that time). I do think Tygra would be better off moving on and finding a girl that isn’t nearly so blind to him and is interested in him.
I think the flower on the step was to signify that Cheetara was more focused on becoming a Cleric and ate it so she wouldn’t have to leave the Cleric’s doors and forgot about it since Tygra didn’t bother coming forward when she was first admiring it. She wouldn’t have forgotten about it I think if she had a face to go along with it.
I can’t remember the name of Kit’s friend. But the fact that he remembered her name and said “Lionel” and so on makes me wonder if the elephants are truly forgetful or if it’s just an act. Even Grune made mention of their fabled memory not being true. I’ll bet you it is true, I’ll be that the old saying that an elephant never forgets is true, but that they’re acting like they have horrible memories for whatever reason. Just a thought.
Now THAT’S a good ep!
Tygra + Cheetara past flashback made my inner Tygra/Cheetara shipper squeal with joy. Little Tygra is just too cute. :-3 “I was always invisible to you” (paraphrased) made me go "awwww.

I totally knew Jaga was testing Cheetara when he said she was good with speed, but bad with patience and basically told her to get out and she waited. (I mean obviously I knew Cheetara was gonna make it into the Clerics 'cause, duh, she’s one presently, but still).
Have I mentioned that I LOVE the Elephant People? Sometimes I wonder if they’re actually wiser than they let on. Love the Elephant People…and them still getting Lion-O’s name wrong.
Wiley Kit was so cute getting all defensive of that one Elephant guy (for the life of me I can’t remember and I’m too lazy to look at previous posts…Ahnatt? Arnatt?)
Action scenes were great. And I actually like how Tygra challenges Lion-O. If Lion-O is going to be Lord of the Thundercats, he’s going to have to be able to put up and deal with the fact that not everyone’s gonna agree with him just because he says so…even if Lion-O was actually right this time with the stealth thing.
VERY pleased with this ep and CANNOT wait for the next one!!!

totally agree with you - and quite frankly I do see a betrayal as being very possible. No one thought Anakin would turn and he did (star wars), no one thought Lennier would betray Sheridan over Delenn or Garibaldi would do the same thing (Babylon 5)- Tygra as very real motivations (to him at least) for betraying Lion-o. I think Mum-ra will prey upon his mental weaknesses, as he did with Grune.
On to a lighter subject- people hardly ever marry the love they had as kids. Glad someone noticed this besides me.
Having pride in yourself and your accomplishments is a good thing. Having too much pride causes egotism and can lead to arrogance. This is the pride that comes before a fall. 
Actually, I think it is true. They probably have horrible short term memories but excellent long term memory that is basically for more important stuff like friends, family, training, etc. Of course remembering Lion-O’s name is going to be the exception for gags of course. 
Is that so bad? I don’t think it is.
i think it just differs from elephant to elephant. Kit’s friend Aburn has a worse memory than the elephant leader (didn’t catch his name).
Why wouldn’t Tygra think he’d be a better King than Lion-O? He’s the one that took his duties as Prince seriously and did all that was asked from him and more, while Lion-O aparently had a habit of missing and being late to meetings/training sessions, so he could mess around with tech.
So, why is him thinking he’d be a better King mean he’s too prideful? He’s more qualified at this point in time but he lacks the royal blood and the sword chose Lion-O. Though, I wonder if Tygra ever tried using the sword and this “darkness” that he has is why it wouldn’t respond to him.
Now, we all know that Lion-O will become a great King in time but I don’t think Tygra feeling he’d be a better one at the moment is really a bad thing or untrue.
Really? I thought that part was actually painfully obvious since Episodes 4, 5, and 6 came out about two decades earlier where we knew Anakin had fallen. :eek:
they both have different qualities that would make good kings. lion-o has compassion and a curious mind. tygra is responsible and strategic. they’re both too bull-headed for their own good though.
i think best case scenario they’ll rule together with tygra as his advisor and/or general.
Now if Lion-O can only learn to have compassion for Tygra.
I think Lion-O had more compassion before his father was killed. I think it’s slowly coming back though.
i think he meant no one in the story not real life. though that’s not entirely true with anakin as a few jedi including yoda definitely were wary of him.
Overall a good episode. Loved the scene with Grune trying to force information out of the forgetful Elephants :D. It’s interesting to see rivalry continue between the brothers, though sometimes Lion-O really seems to be asking for it. Although I’m still not quite sure why Cheetara seems to be interested in Lion-O, when her history is more interconnected with that of Tygra’s, at this point however. But one thing I really want to see is Tygra to wield the Sword of Omens and see how it responds to him. Why doesn’t Lion-O let him have a shot? Let Tygra get it out of his system, at least that would give him some assurance of whether he’s King material or not. A response from the Sword should provide some peace of mind, in my opinion.
Regardless, so glad to see Mumm-Ra make a return, albeit as a bird. The only downside to this episode was the clumsily tacked on Thundercats call, which is my favorite moment. Seemed so wasted here, especially since the music didn’t even transition rightly, or to a proper piece. They keep using the same old thing.
Well, I wasn’t really talking about who we think would be the better King but more about why Tygra would think he would be better. Given that Lion-O didn’t take his duties seriously, why would Tygra think different?
I feel you on the animation, it’s so amazing! Speaking of the art, I think I found a rendering of the Tigersharks by Dan Norton on google images, it was tuight seeing the water thundercats imagined by the same art director lol, Dan Norton is a genius imho. Viva la animation!
