Why would anyone want to roll in with a loud tank in a hostage situation like that? Those elephants would not have survived. The element of surprise is the only way to have a chance of rescuing all of the hostages.
Well, to be fair Tygra himself has been that arrogant to Lion-O constantly in the past and even in public as well. On top of Tygra being the favored son by both Claudus and the Thunderan public, it probably hurt Lion-O alot more.
Exactly, what I was thinking. The sneak attack would’ve worked out fairly well too if it hadn’t been for Kit and that elephant (his name escapes me at the moment) ruining the ambush.
Still, a combination of the two plans would’ve worked best. I.E. the way it turned out. Having the Thundertank bust in once things got rolling or if things went bad.
well with that kiss it looks like cheetara is into lion-o, but I don’t think he deserves her. that being said tygra has a little bit of growing up to do too.
wonder what kinda betrayal there will be. i just can’t see tygra going bad.
anyway great episode. this was more like what I was expecting the show to be after the premiere.
Well done episode, the story continues further and has a great cliffhanger. There’s tension and while I know it’s coming but I don’t know how it will end.
I really hope the whole betrayal thing isn’t what it appears. Maybe Ahnet mean “betrayal” in a different sort of way. I don’t believe that Tygra would go evil so soon.
Anyway, I thought it was a really good episode. But it won’t be complete without the next part.
episode was ok…grunes back, mummra..sort of…way to milk this astral plane thing, they are really moving at turtle speed. still waiting for that great episode…im beginning to think it wont come and everything will always be in pieces, which is fine, but only if the pieces are good individually…ill prob follow till the end, but sometimes wish this new take on thundercats would have been different
With Mumm-Ra in the Mix plus the Astral Plane I dont think Tygras Betrayal will be intentional. I am shure their are going to be some Funky Mind Games going on. but still it will affect their Relationship. How is the only question. Will it Steel their Relationship of Drive a bigger wedge into it??? Guess we will just have to wait to See…

The one Negative I saw was a bad Cut in the Animation. Lion-O Grabs the Sword From Grune then next cut is Stock footage of Thunder Thunder Thunder Cats Ho Which starts with the Sword in the Claw Shield. OPPS!!! Gotta Love Stock Footage.
Also Great insight into the Thundercats name. Seems as if Thundercats is a clan within the Cat Species. Always figured it was a Royal title in some way but now we have confirmation.
Here’s the two possibilities for the outcome of the Cheetara/Lion-o/Tygra thing.
Either Lion-o and Cheetara will end up together and Tygra will get Pumyra when she joins the show, which is kinda unlikely, y’know cause of how Tygra feels about Cheetara, though it would indicate him growing.
Or and this is the more likely one, Cheetara will come to realize how Tygra feels and get with him, and then when Pumyra joins the show she’ll end up with Lion-o. And honestly I’ve always felt for that pairing.
This is the first episode since “Journey to the Tower of Omens” that really felt like it was a major forward advancement in the overall story arc, and it was great.
Several elements of the individual T-Cats were uncovered & revisited which was very nice.
The Kittens are still planning to reach their Land of Milk & Honey, so the strength of their loyalties are in question. Kat is at least not loyal to the cause of the T-Cats, but rather just hitch hiking. Kit was probably the same way, but it was very nice to see her bond with the Elephant People & she at least had a personal stake in the battle to save the Elephant’s village.
Panthro’s feud with Grune…oh boy are they teasing us with that? They haven’t even fought yet, but the idea of that battle taking place has got me really excited.
Watching flashbacks of how Cheetara became a Cleric was nice, though I have to say their tests are a little strict. “Oh you didn’t jump through the swinging blades correctly on the first try? NOT GOOD ENOUGH!” lol. But it was nice to see that element of her background covered as she’s been covered in mystery ever since the start of the show.
And of course the Tygra/Lion-O rivalry was pushed back into the forefront. Both are immature to a degree, and when a lady is involved, watch out. The claws come out and fur is going to fly! Like Cheetara, it was nice to see Tygra as a youth as well and its very interesting to discover that Tygra has known about Cheetara all along, and now we’re left to wonder if she even remembers him (you know all Tigers look alike, lol). One thing I wish they had done is at least have one interaction between Tygra & Grune just to push the similarities between them, but other than that, Tygra was the star of the show and his plan actually working almost justifies him to a degree over Lion-O, at least as a military strategist.
And as usual, good action, well animated, yada yada yada. All that jazz. The show looking great is expected at this point.
And I can’t say enough about how awesome that cliffhanger was. So Lion-O & Tygra walk into the Astral Plane. Lion-O is warned of an immanent betrayal by Tygra, and Mumm-Ra flies in after them into the portal just seconds later. HOLY CRAP!!! Is that doesn’t make you want to tune in next week, then nothing will.
We’ve had a break from major story episodes for a while, so this one really punched back with a bang and I am definitely looking forward to seeing what happens from here on out.
Gods, really?? You’re complaining about the show moving to slow? If anything the show moves to fast. You want a show that crams an entire plot in one ep go watch one of those 13 ep animes. I’m sure those are fast enough for you.
The rest of us though will continue to enjoy the show that’ll have many many eps cause it’s not to fast.
Seems you didn’t understand the point of the as you put it, ‘NOT GOOD ENOUGH!’ Sure it was a bit cruel, but, like he said, she didn’t have patience. They wanted to see if she did, or if she would just huff and go home, but she stayed and proved she had patience.
