The Pace of the series is reminiscent of Naruto to me. One long story broken into smaller Arcs all moving towards an inevitable end.
Think about it from Lion-O’s perspective though and not from ours. We know Tygra knows Cheetarafrom the past and really liked her for awhile now (perhaps even love). Lion-O does not know this and thinks Tygra is probably just being more of a womanizer/arrogant competitive brother he thinks he is.
Lion-O also doesn’t know that about Tygra’s issues towards him. Lion-O is treating it like the normal sibling rivalry situation between them when they lived in Thundera (both being arrogant and competitive) but is unaware that this is a major issue for Tygra and is unintentionally making it worse for Tygra.
I think this will explode badly on both brothers causing Mumm-Ra to get the stone but they resolve their issues with each other and become stronger for it and have a healthier relationship.
I dunno, the first scenario seems quite likely as well. It really depends on how Tygra and Lion-O resolves their issues to each other. Tygra could learn to let go and move onto someone else (Pumyra in this case). People rarely ever get their first love/crush you know, especially if they don’t make a move. If this scenario does happen then it wouldn’t happen quickly. It would be a more gradual thing that will have them getting together at the end of the series I think.
I am for it as well just be careful of the Action previous or post so it flows Better.
That’s actually partially what I’m thinking. Though I’m thinking this will end up causing them to lose the stone as well but make their relationship stronger and healthier as well.

On its face, it did look insanely cruel to the point that it was funny, so it made me chuckle;. I was like “Wow Jaga, you’re kind of a jerk, huh?” lol.
Great episode, loved it, I did enjoy the flashbacks, good action, old villians. I wished Lion-o learned how to call the sword to him though.
the clerics are the royal bodyguards. the elite fighters of thundera. he can’t just let anyone in. they gotta show they have what it takes.
Now that I think about it, that actually would have been a much better way for him to get the Sword back from Grune.
In the episode it was like “Yoink! Got my sword back!” lol
They also protect the secrets of Thundera and it’s relics. I.E. they protected the secret of the Book of Omens’ location even though the king was looking for it. Another possible example is that they also are protectors of the Sword of Omens when it’s not in the king’s possession if the first episode is any indication.

in the OS all the thundercats were nobility, but now that we know cheetara was an orphan that means lion-o is the only one in this group that was born noble.
one other thing though. this is twice Grune’s ran away from Panthro without a fight. this just seem too cowardly for someone who not only used to be a general, but someone who actually has beaten Panthro in the past.

Y’know, judging by the fact that we saw the elephants again. Seems we will see races they’ve met already more times. More Burbils!
Also, has anyone else noticed how sometimes Lion-o’s hair all sticks up, other times it’s sticks out to the sides. Odd.
This Episode Was Divided between Present day and a Flash Back describing Chetarras entrance into the Cleric Guild. As far as the Present day activities The Elephants have been taken hostage by Grune Alone with a detachment of Lizards and Mechs. Grune Tries to get the stone from the Elephants but they are as much help as they were to Lion-O the First time they visited. The Thundercats decide to Rescue the Elephants, Naturally, however their is dissension between Lion-O and Tygra as to the method to use. Full on Thunder-tank hit them Hard is Tygras plan and Lion-O opts for Chetarras Suggestion of Stealth. Stealth didn’t work thanks to Kit and The Elephants. Tygra Slips out in some Confusion And Returns with the Tank, Much to Panthros Disapproval as he did not give Tygra Permission to drive the tank. Amidst smoke and Explosions Grune Escapes and the Thundercats head into the astral Plane through the hut. Tygra gives Lion-O grief and heads in First. After he steps through the Head Elephant (sorry I don’t remember his name) warns Lion-O the Before the next day is through Tygra will betray him… After this we see an evil Red Eyed Raven sitting in a tree with Mumm-ra Narration. Just before the Portal to the astral Plane Closes the Raven swoops down and through. Credits role and we all sit anxiously waiting for next weeks Episode.
Y’know, thing people talking about how Grune keeps running away even though he’s beaten Panthro before gotta realize, that wasn’t exactly a fair fight, Grune shocked Panthro with his betrayal and Panthro was mostly defending himself cause he didn’t want to fight Grune. Panthro wasn’t actually trying to defeat Grune then like Grune was him.
Probably in a fight between the two of them where Panthro gives it his all, Grune wouldn’t stand a chance, and Grune probably knows it.

I gotta say, Lion-O deserves Cheetara. Tygra deserves better. I mean come on, her comment that Tigers are known for their great pride? What a jerk. Basically she’s coming up alongside Lion-O and saying, “We’re both better than him and ‘his kind.’” It’s a smug superiority and I so dislike people like that. :mad: Both of them completely and utterly dissing him and his suggestion was horrible to watch. He is more experienced than both of them in military strategy and they shouldn’t just ignore him like that. They need to know how to respect each member of the team and use their skills and education, otherwise they’ll always have discord in the group.
Cheetara is much too full of herself to the point of being irritating. And I don’t understand what the significance was to Tygra seeing the flower on the step after Jaga took her in.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked the episode, I thought it was one of the best yet and by far the best flashback episode. The cliffhanger at the end was just cruel though. Telling Lion-O that by the end of the next day he would know a betrayal in his brother he had never known before? I’m going to make a guess that because in the Astral Plane, thought becomes reality, Tygra’s thoughts are going to manifest out of his control, unlike in the real world where he can practice self-discipline and not act on every thought that crosses his mind. I think Lion-O is going to see a new side to Tygra and I’m going to wager, it’s going to be a major turning point in their relationship and that when they walk back out, their relationship is going to be much better than when they went in.
It almost sounds like the OS episode anointment trial of the mind. I’m wondering if this episode isn’t going to be loosely based on that one.
Oh, and did anyone else thing the music in the flashback sequences sounded a lot like The Legend of Zelda video games?
Whaaaaaa? Saying someone has great pride isn’t a bad thing. I don’t know what experience you have but in my experience when someone says someone is very proud, it’s something they admire about the person. Having pride in oneself is usually a good thing.
Tygra IS very prideful. it’s not like she said something that isn’t true. I don’t think she meant harm at all with that comment.
as for wither pride is good or bad: it’s ok in moderation, but don’t forget pride is one of the 7 deadly sins (and considered the worst one).
Well, ignoring the other’s ideas is something that Lion-O appears to do a lot. He didn’t listen to Tygra/Cheetara in “Ramlak Rising” or Tygra in “Petalars”, or Panthro in “Old Friends” or the drifter in “The Duelist and the Drifter” or Tygra in this episode.
You would think with Panthro being a General for his father and has been in the open world longer than any of them and with Tygra’s apparent strategy abilities that Lion-O would lean on them more for advice.
I think the point made in the episode is that they needed the ThunderTank. Even if Wilykit hadn’t of spoiled it, that doesn’t mean the elephant wouldn’t have spotted them hiding there, and even if they hadn’t been spotted before moving, they were still massively outgunned with those big war machines.
In this situation, I think the wise choice would have been to have Panthro stay behind in the ThunderTank to be ready when needed and to have allowed the others to start off with the sneak attack. But Lion-O wrecklessly abandoned Tygra’s knowledge of military strategy for his own pride.
Which brings me to another point, Cheetara’s idiotic comment about Tigers being known for their pride - hello? Lion-O and Cheetara have shown themselves to be equally as prideful. Calling pot to kettle! 
That didn’t bother me. The animation that bothered me was of Cheetara talking as the tank was driving along.
I don’t know if it’s really considered a clan, but Jaga made it her people by accepting her. It would be nice to understand the title “ThunderCat” better. Are the kittens now considered ThunderCats too because Lion-O accepted them to join on their journey?
I thought this scene provided some wonderful insight into the kitten’s characters. I get the impression that what Kit really wants is a family and people to love her. She’s not really getting that from the adult ThunderCats as they’re all moody and could really care less if the kittens are there or not. The Elephants were the first people to show her that kind of love, affection, and attention and so that’s where she most wants to be.
Kat, on the other hand, is more hardened. Either he doesn’t want that or he has far buried that desire and won’t allow himself to feel that. I sensed a lot of bitterness in Kat. I would guess he wants that money to show up people who treated him badly in the past. Of course the people are mostly dead probably, but it’s his drive. So I see darkness in Kat but not in Kit. I think Kit has much more innocence than her brother. And I would wager that the stunt in the first episode where they robbed someone was Kat’s idea.
I don’t think we’ve seen Grune and Panthro have the chance for a one-on-one confrontation yet. With the other Cats there, he was outnumbered. I wonder how things would go if the two of them met and were truly alone.
