Even when this ep looks exciting in the story-revealing area, I’m afraid it will be a Lion-o only ep, and I never liked those in the OS, so I think that will disappoint me now 
Hope I’m wrong and we get a look at the other TCs as well.

It all depends on how they approach the episode. They kinda have two choices. They could have the whole episode Lion-O centric and the whole episode will be the flashbacks. Which would probably tell us a heck of a lot of background info.
The other choice would to have it more like Episode 5 and split the flashbacks with a different story and have a side story about the rest of the group doing something without Lion-O. Which I think might be more likely considering their hesitation so far to give out too much information at once.
But it could go either way.

This looks awesome. Can’t wait for it to air!
So apparently Mumm-Ra has the ability to change out the stones of power and wanted to put the Eye of Thundera into the Dark Sword of Plundarr.
I wonder what the rest of the stones of power do. The Eye of Thundera of course is probably the most powerful of them hence why Mumm-Ra focuses on it.
Can’t wait to find out about the stones and about the cats link to Mumm-Ra!

My idea of the story being split between the flashbacks and the rest of the group might be right afterall. Didn’t look like anyone but Snarf was in the Tower with him.
Somehow I knew that Jaga would be Lion-O’s guide inside the book.
This is proving to get more and more interesting, what with the flashbacks, Thunderian history and the timeline of recorded events that took place.
What I absolutely love best about this new series, aside from the show’s writing is the character design. I love how it was handled because in the original series, most of the Thunderians (outside of the ThunderCats of course) appeared more human, (namely the Thunderian refugees) which is my only nitpick. The only three Thunderians I could think of that resembled cats were Grune, the Destroyer, the Thunderian guard, when Claudus was still Lord of the ThunderCats and Lynx-O (I don’t count Pumm-Ra, since Mumm-Ra is not originally from Thundera).
Additionally, after seeing the preview for this week’s episode, I can safely say that Lion-O’s journey into the Book, with Jaga guiding him is a nudge to the episode “Return to Thundera,” where Lion-O travels back in time to before Thundera’s demise.
I’m guessing the side plot involves the others trying to wake Lion-O up.
Interesting cat designs. The trio doing magic (proto-Clerics?) look extremely different from the usual cat types; the sclera of their eyes is black.
At this point, I have one thing to say to Dan Norton and co.: “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!” O_O
Ocelli and I had a scene in our story that is very similar to this one in which Lion-O is guided by the spirit of Jaga in a “big reveal” that would have marked the turning point in the story, revealing the larger truths behind what the Thundercats, the Mutants and Mumm-Ra had been fighting for all along. Of course, the circumstances were different: Lion-O and Jaga’s meeting here seems to be facilitated through a VR/Matrix setup of some kind provided by the book, although it looks as if Lion-O’s spirit is somehow drawn into it. And our scene was to take place much later in the story than it’s doing here.
In our story, Lion-O actually dies and he’s taken to the Astral Plane where he meets the spirits of Jaga, Claudus and Snarf (SPOILER: Yes, we kill him off earlier.) They tell him of the eons-old conflict between the ASOE and ASOG, how they choose champions to fight for them and how Thundera was supposed to be designated by the ASOG to play a major role in the future of the galaxy. And Jaga confesses how he was unknowingly responsible for messing up this plan when he destroyed Thundera by throwing the Sword of Plun-Darr into it. And that his later self-sacrifice and being a spiritual guide to Lion-O was actually to atone for all of that.
Lion-O is naturally taken aback by all of this, but says that while he will continue to fight the war, he won’t do it just because the ASOG want him to, but for the survival of his people and to end the destruction and conflict that Slithor - who by this point has become an Ever-Living like Mumm-Ra - has brought. He is then resurrected and, with this new knowledge, gives an impassioned speech to the other Thundercats and members of the Alliance that what they fight for is greater than themselves, and that what they do will have repercussions on the future for centuries to come, which reinvigorates them.
Granted, there are some differences in how this will be depicted in the show. But essentially it was the same idea.

This just occurred to me…
But if the Book of Omens is a mix of Magic and Technology, then Thunderians didn’t give up Tech right after they overthrew Mumm-Ra. The second flashback last episode (where the book was being written and hidden) had a completely different King.
It is kind of tron-esque.
I was kinda disappointed with this preview. The written description of the episode tells us pretty much the same thing. And only one preview this week? Are they trying to ween us off the previews and are going to stop giving them to us? Say it ain’t so!
For the pictures - the female cat in the fourth picture reminds me a little of Cheetara. I wonder if in this blast from the past, if the characters we meet aren’t going to give us a glimpse into our characters future. For example, if what we learn about Leo doesn’t end up being true about Lion-O, if what we learn about Tygus doesn’t end up being true for Tygra, and if what we learn about that chick in the fourth pic doesn’t end up being true for Cheetara.
The last picture where they look to be forging the sword, I’m guessing the sword of omens for both that and the third pic. But the last picture I think is interesting. Considering it was a milinnea ago, I would think they’d have tails.
That king, and the head Cleric were all a separate generation right?
I’m wondering how many generations passed between the events coordinated with Captain Tygus, then to the generation when the book is written (clearly the eye of thundera in the sword is present) with that current king, and then to the generation with King Claudus and Jaga, neither of which are aware at that point about the age of technology.
