I’ve shown my unyielding support of the T-Cats Reboot and I hope to God that all of these petitions, action plans, and messages to CN work towards getting us that second season.
In my life, there have been many shows I’ve loved that were unfortunately never concluded in a satisfactory manner. In “She-Ra: Princess of Power” The Rebellion never defeated The Horde. In “Pirates of Dark Water” Ren & his friends never found all 13 Treasures. In “Soap”, the series ended in a gigantic cliffhanger where half the characters were in life threatening situations. Don’t even get me started of “The Sarah Conner Chronicles” and that epic cliffhanger that will never be resolved. Heck, even a show like “Duckman” ended on a humongous cliffhanger that was never resolved (though given the nature of that show, I’m willing to bet that was the creators just trolling).
It just drives me crazy. What happened with these characters? Did they accomplish what they set out to accomplish? Did they get out of the dangerous situations they were in when we last saw them?
I can’t bear to have that happen with a Thundercats show I’ve wanted since I was 6 years old and one that has been about as perfect a reboot as I could possibly ask for.
So OK, if this new Thundercats does get cancelled (dear God please no!), I am going to take care of it and make the conclusion myself. I am going to learn as much as I can about script writing & how to format a script for TV, and then write 26 scripts for Thundercats myself just to give me some kind of closure for the series, again, in the event that the series is cancelled.
If nothing else, at least I’ll be teaching myself a new skill and give me some peace of mind regarding the conclusion of the series, ha ha. I already have some ideas for stories, and the series has already put a lot of things into motion, so I won’t have to struggle for material.
I will completely stop watching Cartoon Network and refuse to support anything they do ever again. I think they should learn that they lose a lot of viewers when good shows are cancelled. And I mean completely boycott. No Adult Swim, no Toonami, no occasional rerun of a good show, etc. I’m not going to even acknowledge it as a legitimate channel.

They probably could if it was actually aired in Japan in the first place, but as far as I’m aware it hasn’t been shown in Japan, so I doubt they’d keep it going to gamble on another country like that.
It may still air in Japan. I know that Transformers Animated and Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have aired there. It’s not a stretch to believe that ThunderCats could air there as well. 4C even did the animation for Transformers Animated, and they animated and recorded a new intro for that.
Last I heard (last month) CN has no plans to air the series here.
Something about problems with the series was the reason given to me, as to why not. (guess its got something to do with the uncertainty you are all talking about)
Still, fingers crossed. Would be nice to finally watch the show rather than just reading if people liked it or not. And staying away from any plot and spoilers…

I think Thundercats reboot would have done a lot better in the mid or late 90’s or in the early 2000’s. Right now, a lot of cartoons these days don’t seem to have a really good stories and Characters.
Probably right, the money’s not there anymore for animation in the league of the NS. The bean counters would rather program a network with mediocre animation and live action shows, than make a commitment to a more expensive show.
This is the same strategy which is all but destroying radio. It’s no longer about quality, its how much programming can I fill at the the lowest cost, and if the listeners don’t like it, too bad. (Problem is a little thing called the iPod which changed all the rules of broadcasting)
yeah that’s why when I look at the quality stuff Japan puts out animation wise, I kinda cry a little inside wishing there was animation on par with that in the US.
