I think it would be credits because it seems more space age.
What about DC comics? they are a Warner property too just like DC is.
Seeing how bad the Wildstorm/DC comics of Thundercats went over with the fans back in the day, I have a feeling DC doesn’t want to even think of doing another comic series. The mini-series isn’t even regarded as canon from what I understand and the cross-overs were just a waste of time.
Yeah, the artwork was good but the storyline was terrible. Too many time skips and plot holes.
Yeah, it was just a mess right out of the gate. I can see why the comic series isn’t held to be canon in any way and rightly so.
In my opinion, I do believe one of the biggest flaws of the 2011 series that really, really hurt it was that it drew too much from those failed comics. Then again, to me, it drew too much from Star Wars, Dark Crystal, and various other sources and not enough from Thundercats. But again, that’s just me.
i definitely agree with you about this statement. they tried to mix in too many elements from other shows and kind of lost sight of what made thundercats what it was. don’t get me wrong, i liked the NS series but sometimes, the plot holes and character personality inconsistencies would kind throw me off.
Plus, it was rare to see references from the OS in the NS.
IDW is doing an amazing job with TMNT. I really think they could do a great comic of Thundercats. But with all the legal stuff with WB and DC etc I doubt it will happen. ![]()
Yeah, but I still have hope. Plus, you know WB will force DC to sell their ThunderCats comic rights to another company?
I just want to point out I put a
because I would like IDW to do a Thundercats comic, not because I do not think IDW would get the licence to produce the comc.
Thanks for clearing that up. Also, if they do ThunderCats, how would you think the first issue would start off?
I think they should flesh out the OS characters more and put them in real situations while keeping the OS’s quality intact.
I would like it to start on Thundera and show the war with Plun-darr and events leading to the evacuation and destruction of Thundera. Even some issues focusing on Jaga’s time piloting the ship alone would be cool.
That would be interesting. In Jaga’s spotlight, you would picture him going a little bit insane because of the loneliness. It would be, also, interesting on why the Thunderians are at war with the Plun-Darriens.
Yeah I have an idea for a story about Jaga. Might try and write a fan fic someday, it’s not somehting have ever done before though but I could give it a try.
Well, I hope it will be interesting to read.
I’d be all for that.
