At this point i don’t think we have much things to say concerning the Bandai Thundercats, we have covered every possibility and analyzed the reasons behind the present situation with the line. Dan Norton should have been more revealing with the Show as well as the toyline. He should shed some light to help the fans, other than mentioning’‘the show is great…fans have loved it’'.
Unfortunately, we are still in the dark and we have to wait after the show finish in two weeks, to see what is going to happen. Nothing is certain and everything is fluid…Personally i wouldn’t post anything else on this thread until we have some solid info.
Yeah, until we have confirmation either way I don’t think this thread is necessary.
You have to keep the politics of things in mind here. DN answers to someone above (WB) and they will not want him discussing the “true” status of the show until after the next two episodes are over. Advertisers have most likely already paid for commercial air time during Thundercats and thus WB / CN needs to keep those sales as having looked worth while for its buyers.
I agree however that we will most likely get the real story on the shows status once the season has ended.

I mean absolutely no offense here but you really can’t use that logic to describe the current status of the toys. There are stores near me that have plenty of wave 1 stuff hanging on the pegs, but never got any wave 2. I can’t use those stores as examples that Bandai is shipping toys out and that all is well. In other words use those stores as examples to paint a pretty picture about the current status of the toyline.
The Local Wal-mart here has had plenty of wave 2 figures.
You can’t just look at your local area and decide that’s how it is everywhere else. Or even look at 10 people on the forums. That’s still only 10 out of thousands. Different stores in different locations are going to be ordering things differently.
That’s what I think. I’m sure other places have more wave 2 figures than my local Wal Mart, and some with less. I guess it just depends on when/how they were shipped.
And don’t forget there are those of us who are still waiting for ANY wave 2 to be released!!!

That’s not what I am doing by a long shot (mind you many people across multiple forums have reported the same things I have across the country). However going by the logic in your last sentence I would remind you that both BBTS and EE order everything from the manufacturer and all of Wave 2 is out of stock or on “preorder” and has been that way for a very long time.
Facts are facts. 6" Tygra would not be going for $70+ on eBay if Bandai were still shipping out wave 2 items past the initial shipments prior to the NS return from hiatus. Supply & Demand.
Like I said, I commend you guys for keeping things positive, but I am looking at this realistically. If it were up to me a Bandai truck would pull up to every store in the US and bury us in new Thundercats toys.
Like said before, we still have no confirmation, so anything said in either direction can’t really be justified as of now.
At least the magazine with exclusive toy in each issue helps to make up for it. Just imported issue #2 & #3 to where I’m at in the usa. Got them in the mail a few days ago and there very very very nice. They did everything right with the magazine too. Even a doubled sided poster in each issue. I mean they gave Grune AND Slithe a poster!!! Plus the toy would sell for $5-$8 if it was sold here too even. That’s about how good they are. Issue #4 is going to have some kinda lizard disc launcher gun thing too in about 2 weeks (uk).

Just went to my local Wal Mart. Everything was in stock and there were a few Wave 2 figures. I feel bad for not buying anything, but I’m buying the volume 2 DVD tomorrow.
I agree in concept. But unfortunately, I can’t agree in reality. In the last 2 weeks I’ve traveled about 800 miles south, and about 400 miles back north (heading home now). I’ve stopped at every Toys R Us and Wal-Mart I have passed, even going out of the way to stop at them in the Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida areas. The results I have seen with my own eyes has been very similar at all of the stores. ThunderCats items with “CLEARANCE” stickers on the peg price stickers. 5-10 4" basic figures with all but 1-2 being Lion-O, Tygra, or Mumm-Ra. Employees saying they don’t have anything in the back to restock the pegs that are empty.
But I haven’t given up on getting lucky. I am going a different route home, so I still could stumble on one of these hidden stores that is well stocked and not on clearance.
I live in Oklahoma and both Walmart and Toys R Us told me the reason stuff is on the shelf marked down right now is because they have boxes of stuff in the back and ordered to make room for. Walmart even told me that the 3rdQ stuff is allready ordered for and Thundercats was still on the list of products they had ordered.
I know back along time ago I worked for Walmart and got told when I asked “Why these figures are marked down when others are not?” (Of the same wave) that when they have more of some figures or even a first wave when a second is coming out they mark down some to get little kids that 1 figure in thier hands. Cause most will want more, I remember my first Thundercat toy back in the 80’s and it was like a drug… I had to have more

Outstanding!!! About time we had definite news! And positive news at that!!! Not that I’m gloating over all the negativity at all! 
Lol, I just went out with the mrs and spent £200gbp on toys for my son, lol… Funnily alot of stores were out of stock!!!
My only gripe is that the toys are so god damn expensive in the uk…

I have to order them through the internet, mostly ebay sites and it’s certainly much more difficult to get them than our US friends:cool:
Additonally, still haven’t felt the ‘elation’ and happiness of finding them in a store and picking my favorite pieces.Not now…neither back in the 80s…grrgrgrggr:mad:
