I’ll take your answer for “Garden of Delights”. In both “Mongor” and “Safari Joe” there is some mention of an interference that is affecting the sword’s “sight beyond sight” so that could explain why it does not warn Lion-O. In “Pumm-Ra” the sword was locked in the sword chamber until the “cat” is out of the bag (aren’t I funny?). “Monkian’s Bargain” is probably another good answer. Good job!
Oh and for the record, I was thinking of “The Telepathy Beam” where the sword doesn’t let Lion-O know when Panthro really is in trouble, and of course, Lion-O doesn’t even think to use it. Instead, he sends everyone off to search for him. I think they learned pretty early on that having the sword alert Lion-O was a hindrance to a lot of the stories they wanted to tell. Too bad they couldn’t develop a good reason to make it stop working rather than just ignoring that aspect of the sword’s power so often.
There’s one episode (at least one I can think of) were the original three Mutants appear, but one of them says no line at all (even more, appears mostly as an extra or a lacay to the other two). Which episode and Mutant is it?
That makes me think. In that episode, when the Warbot rips off the Lair’s head and throws that liquid to the TCs, why didn’t Cheetara run faster to avoid it and leave teh Lair, and why didn’t Tygra turn invisible? (rethorical question… I know the answer lol).
That’s the one! The hint was it was -of course- a Tygra-centerted episode LOL. Jackalman appears but has no lines at all, almnost as if he was another Monkeyman or Reptileman that appears in that ep.
Those two were exactly the ones I was thinking of! :thumbsup In both episodes, when Mumm-Ra transforms into Lion-O, he also manages to conjure up his own fake Sword of Omens. I guess he doesn’t believe in the whole “accessories sold separately” sales gimmick!
Name two episodes written by William Overgard where only a single new character is introduced and said character(s) are never seen again in other episodes.
