Game: ThunderCat Trivia

What about “Screw-Loose” from the same named episode?

“The Book of Omens” is absolutely correct. I know this is terribly technical, but “The Jade Dragon” also introduced the ancient samurai, his fiance, and her evil father.

Dang, Wilycub! Ya know, I had honestly forgotten about this episode, but I think you’re right! For the record, I was actually thinking of “The Book of Omens” (for Pyron) and “The Fire-balls of Plundarr” (with Booshy) which I think people tend to forget is an Overgard episode since it actually centers around a Thundercat and not a guest character.

You’re turn Wilycub!

Did Liam’s “Jade Dragon” answer not quite meet the criteria?

Aren’t I and Liam tied with one correct answer each?

'Fraid not, as I pointed out above, “The Jade Dragon” also introduced other characters.

Yikes, not sure what to do with this one. When I saw that you “liked” the post by Liam, I guess my brain got mixed up and somehow thought you knew “The Book of Omens” was a correct answer. My bad. I was doing this first thing after waking up. I’ll come up with a tie-breaker question for you two.

No worries, my friend. Looks like today is a bad morning for answering ThunderCats trivia as even Zax said that his early morning eyes were playing tricks on him and he initially guessed the wrong screenshot. I think Mumm-Ra may be up to his tricks again, putting a spell on today and causing every ThunderCat fan to make mistakes!

I look forward to the tie-breaker!

You’re too sweet. Also, my personal apologies to Liam, I didn’t mean to slight you at all.

Here’s the tie breaker:

Counting five-parters as one episode, name 3 episodes where we see the mutant Fist Pounder.

Thundercats Ho and Mumm-Ra Lives are two of them, it’s seen in multiple parts of both, I can think of parts 3 and 5 of Thundercats Ho and part 1 of Mumm-Ra Lives, for sure, presumably also the start of part 2 of Mumm-Ra Lives. I don’t think it makes any appearances outside of those two five-parters though.

Can I be both irritated that Pyron was introduced in this way but still intrigued by his character?

Why at the very end of the series would they introduce a new villain who is supposedly the greatest champion and superior to Mumm-ra only to have him discarded by Lion-O in the matter of a minute. At the same time if there had been another season following that I would be very interested to hear about his origins etc.

It does, just in the background, I think. But I’m struggling to recall the scene and episode.

I think it appeared briefly in “Vultureman’s Revenge”, but I’m not 100% sure myself. In any case, Liam has gotten two out of the three answers correct so he is clearly the winner of the tie-breaker and this round. Well done Liam! :thumbsup

OK, forgot about this. OK, here’s my question:

In the introduction to the feature-length version of Exodus, each of the Thundercats (apart from Lion-O) is identified with an additional quality. In some episodes, Mumm-Ra refers to a particular character with that same epithet. I can think of two times where this happens. Which episodes, with which characters, and their accompanying epithets?

Mumm-Ra calls Cheetara, “Cheetara the quick” in “Pumm-Ra” and later refers to Jaga as “Jaga the wise” in “Return to Thundera! Part I”

Cheetara The Quick in Pumm-Ra, spot on.
Jaga The Wise, yes, although the episode was Catfight. Still, you’ve got everything else right, so your turn ButterflyBoy!

Mumm-Ra also talks about “Might Panthro” and “Tygra the Architect” in “Garden of Delights”

Technically true enough, but those weren’t the epithets given to them at the start of the pilot episode.

Oh yes, I remember that. Jaga the Wise, Cheetara the Quick, Tygra the Invisible, Wilykit and Wilykat the cunning duo (I think)… I don’t remember Panthro’s… The Strong?

I think for Panthro it was “the deadly”.

And welcome back, buddy!
