Game: ThunderCat Trivia

Anyone???

Nope
sorry. I’ve been thinking about it and it just doesn’t come to my head.

Sorry, I havent been able to come with anything either. I am interested in what the answer is though.

Okay, since it’s a kinda hard question, I’ll give a hint:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0573949/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

Now you are bound to know the awnser!

Jim Meskimen is the illustrator who was the character designer for Pumm-Ra and he is also the actor who played Dr. Dean on Even Stevens starring Shia LaBeouf.

I am also going to state for the record that this would not be such a “hard question” if it was not so deliberately obtuse. Six degrees of separation of a creator who is not widely known, let alone his contribution to the series, is not a question asked in good faith. It is designed to purposefully be unanswerable without additional information which takes the fun out of the game.

The only thing taking fun out of something here is you. I knew it, so someone else also could. Since no-one knew, I gave a hint. Dont see anything wrong with that. And “is not a question asked in good faith”? Overreact much? Anyway, thanks for all you positivity and constructive input, you’re awesome!

Great question ThunderianRoyalGuard!!! I love learning that kind of info and that i never knew!!

This is not the first time that you have posed a deliberately confusing or obtuse question in this thread that requires additional information from you to be answered.

A fair trivia question about a subject—in this case, ThunderCats—does not require one to bring information about another subject to the question—in thise case, Even Stevens—in order to answer it.

This does not demonstrate any superior knowledge of ThunderCats, it only makes it impossible for people with no knowledge of Even Stevens to answer the question.

It may make you feel clever, but it takes the fun out of the game for everyone else. And you wonder why no one participates?

Since I answered the question correctly, and you are so keen on this style of questioning, tell me what ThunderCats and Pokémon have in common.

Since Mumm-Ra_The Ever-Living is (back) on my ignore list, I have no idea what he or she posted. But it’s his or her turn now, so good luck with that

In other words, you are unwilling or unable to address the points raised or the questions asked. Got it.

I’m afraid I have to agree with Mumm-Ra_The Ever-Living here. That trivia question was not something that the average fan can make a guess at.
Merged Post:

NEW QUESTION: Tell me what ThunderCats and Pokémon have in common.

All I can guess is, they’re both hit animated shows.

Pokémon was produced by 4Licensing Corporation (formerly 4Kids Entertainment) which was founded by Stan Weston and Mike Germakian who produced ThunderCats for Leisure Concepts, Inc.

This was not a serious question, it was to illustrate to thunderianroyalguard the ridiculous nature of his question.

Feel free to ask your own question.

thunderianroyalguard: That’s an interesting bit of trivia. I didn’t know about it. Thanks for sharing! When I read the question, the first answer that came to my head was “Shia (Mutt Williams) and Pumm-Ra both have an affinity for small blades”. LOL!

everybody who is unhappy with the question: While thunderianroyalguard’s question wasn’t a conventional one, I for one don’t really see anything wrong with it. Sure it was a tough one and only someone who had already heard of it would have been able to answer it but for people like myself and “Cap’n Cracka”, we learnt something new related to the TCats that we would most likely have never found out.

Secondly, since this trivia game has been going on for quite a long time, most of the common questions have already been asked and answered and it becomes increasingly difficult to come up with new and interesting questions. Often times the winner passes his/her turn to someone else just because they can’t think of a new trivia question. I know because I’ve done it myself on a number of occasions! LOL! Sometimes weeks pass by without anyone being able to come up with a new question. And sometimes the conventional questions can become a tad “boring and repetitious”.

Thirdly, this game, the other games and the entire TCL forum is basically a place of fun, a place to foster friendships. TCats fans from around the world interact with each other over here and share their memories, their collections, discuss the cartoons, play the games, all for enjoyment. I don’t think that any of the games here have such stern rules that a person would have to think twice before playing it. Where’s the fun in that? Nobody’s competing for an Olympic Gold here. Let’s just have fun, fellas!

These are just my personal opinions and in no way meant to upset or offend anyone and I apologize in advance if anyone felt that way. :frowning:

You the man, Cub! Now, everyone: GAME ON!

I don’t understand what the big deal is
it was a difficult question. Who cares? The difficulty setting was changed from Novice to Expert Mode. Not everyone that reads and participates in the trivia area is just an average Thundercats fan. Besides, harder questions can help take the “average” Thundercats fan to the next level in there love or admiration for the series.

Mumm-Ra_The Ever-Living - I never knew that Thundercats/Pokemon connection and therefore, I learned something and really enjoyed the question. There are only so many times I can see or hear questions like “What was Panthro’s only fear in the original series?” While questions like that are fun. It’s too easy and therefore, in my opinion at least, takes the fun away from the trivia game.

We are all on this site because we are all fans of Thundercats. There doesn’t need to be hostility or drama amongst the members here
especially over a trivia question. This is just my feelings on the matter and if this causes anyone to dislike me or what not, that’s fine. But I will not participate in any drama on a Thundercats forum. That’s just silly.

It is not my turn for a question, but I am going to put one out there. It is not nearly as difficult as ThunderianRoyalGuard’s or Mumm-Ra_The Ever-Living’s question. If it has been asked here before I apologize for the repeated question and also for asking a question out of turn

In what late 1980’s CLASSIC Comedy movie, did the main character have Thundercats bed sheets on his bed in his New York City apartment???

http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/BwareClothing/IMG_20130606_232433_zpse7bcca60.jpg

Hints -
-The main character was nominated for an Oscar for his role in this movie and won a Golden Globe award for the role.
-Toys played a HUGE part of the movie
-Attached is a picture of the Thundercats bedsheet I am reffering to. NOTE Picture is not from the movie but from my collection and pay no mind to the Sleeping bag on the sheet because that was not in the movie.

thunderianroyalguard: You the man, Cub!

Cap’n Cracka: In what late 1980’s CLASSIC Comedy movie, did the main character have Thundercats bed sheets on his bed in his New York City apartment???

Was it by any chance “Big” starring Tom Hanks?

You are correct, WilyCub !!!

I noticed while watching a few years ago and was shocked. Gave me one more reason to love that movie (like more reasons were needed)

Good work by you, WilyCub!!

Thank you, Cap’n!

I saw the movie a long time ago (on VHS) and didn’t notice the TCats bed sheets. But now you’ve given me a reason to watch it again.

Ok, keeping in trend with thuderianroyalguard and Cap’n Cracka’s question style, here’s mine:

In what 2007 movie does the title character (erroneously) say, “Thundercats are go!” when she goes into labor?

Would that be Juno, WilyCub???

Yessir, Cap’n! You are spot on!

Your turn, sir.
