Yes to 1 and 2. When does Vultureman’s Flying Machine appear in space?
As for 4 and 5, I hadn’t considered Lunatacks to be Plundarrian. I suppose I should have said Mutant spaceships.
There are more! Anyone? I’ll admit they’re a bit tricky to spot.

Good point about the Flying Machine! We never actually see it in space. I guess I just assumed that it must have traveled through space to reach Third Earth from Plun-Darr.
I wasn’t sure if the Lunataks qualify as Plun-Darrians, so I just mentioned their spaceships.
I have to admit I have no idea about any more such ships. ![]()
I never thought of that! Probably because it’s open-air, I always just assumed that he built it on Third Earth.
Here’s a hint! The ships bear insignias.
Hmmmm… still drawing a blank. Maybe one more hint? Like in which Season do we see these ships? Pretty please! :love
I’m having trouble with these ones too, especially because you took out the ships in Exodus :alien
Specifically, I believe he excluded the multitude of single-fighter ships we saw in Exodus.
I know, and that’s what I meant to say ![]()
Sorry, please be patient if sometimes I didn’t express myself well. I’m form a Latin American country, so translation sometimes comes hard to me as I don’t right expressions in English for what I want to say.
That specificity was actually very intentional. [emoji6]
I think that is awesome. And I think you actually communicate very well. Your spelling and punctuation is much better than most people on the internet who speak English as their first language. I guess it goes with saying that I had no idea English was not your first language.
I just wanted to point out exactly what zaxfactor said because I can tell what his hint is pointing to.
Another one that’s not been showing up in my notifications.
The question of whether the Lunataks are Plundarian or not is a valid one. We know that at least three of them (Tug-Mug, Chilla, Red-Eye) come from the moons of Plun-darr, but that’s all we do know.
Thank you!
That’s true, plus Mumm-Ra and Vultureman both referred to them simply as “the Lunataks of Plundarr” in “Mumm-Ra Lives!”. That’s when we look at what is on screen objectively. I always had the impression that ALL of the Lunataks came from different moons of Plundarr, even though we may not have definitive proof of that for all of them. “Mumm-Rana’s Belt” strongly hints that Luna comes from the third moon. Even with that said, the only vehicle of the Lunatak’s that we ever saw in space was the Ice Runner, which seems pretty well associated with Chilla who we know is from a moon.
I think it’s pretty definitive that they’re all from the Moons of PlunDarr. Lynx-O refers to them right off the bat in “Mumm-Ra Lives! Part I" as “fearsome raiders from the Moons of PlunDarr”, and they all have moon tattoos on their foreheads. But, yes, the question of whether they all hail from different moons or some from the same moon is never fully addressed. There are five moons in orbit around New Thundera, though—a tidy coincidence!
As for my trivia question, Wilycub had asked for the season that these last ships appear in. The answer is Season One. There are two additional ships, and they appear in the same episode. Should I drop some more hints? ButterflyBoy, you let on like you might know the answer… [emoji6]
There is also the fact that they all call themselves LUNAtaks, haha.
I do think I know the correct answer, but I was giving others a chance to decipher the hint before I jumped in.
I don’t have the faintest idea what the correct answer is. So you definitely have my permission to jump in anytime! :biggrin
That’s what I was going to say: they mere name refer to the Moon (Luna = Moon in Spanish); I think they played with the words Luna/Moon, Lunatic and Attack (as something aggressive), hence Lunatacks.
As for the two other ships, I have no idea. Is the episode “The Feliner”? It comes to my mind as the only one in which we see a Mutant spaceship and the Mutants talking about it (with Slithe being the cook and all that), but can’t remember if there were more besides the RatStar.
I admit at first I had no clue beyond the main reptilian ship seen first in “Exodus” and the Ratstar. But I also thought the answer could not be that simple. The clue however pointed me to the ships that are depicted on Cheetara’s screen in the extended version of Exodus when she says, “The ships bear the insignia of Reptilians, Jackelmen, Monkians…”.
I wasn’t totally sure that counted, though, because all we see are outlines of the ships as presumably seen through the scanners.
When reviewing the episode today, I saw something I had not noticed before.
This image, taken from a very brief shot of the so-called “Lost Intro”, clearly shows the two ships Cheetara describes as belonging to the Monkians and the Jackelmen. And there we have it. That makes 3, the Ratstar makes 4. So my answer to the question is 4.
As a matter of technicality, I am not sure the Ratstar can be considered only once since we have not only seen it plunged into the sea, but also fairly definitively destroyed in “Mumm-Rana”. However, if the Mutants did completely rebuild new Ratstars, they certainly didn’t make it known.
You got it! Bravo!! [emoji847] When I caught this in the Lost Intro a month or so ago, I could hardly believe my eyes. I’d always figured the ships Cheetara was identifying were different versions of the smaller fighters. But there they were, floating behind the Reptilian flagship in living color! [emoji7]
For what it’s worth, I wasn’t expecting anyone to catch the Lost Intro shot—I was prepared to settle for their depiction on Cheetara’s screen as the source of the answer. So, seriously, well done, ButterflyBoy!
I almost added this as a caveat to my original post—that multiple versions of the same ship don’t count—but the fact that Monkian makes reference to the wreckage when Vultureman is repairing it in “ThunderCubs” led me to figure it wasn’t worth mentioning. I’ll admit, though, that I forgot about the events of “Mumm-Rana”.
New question:
What episode gives us definitive evidence that Third Earth is indeed the same as our Earth by depicting land masses (continents) that match our’s exactly?
“The Last Day”? There’s a globe onscreen in the Lair control room. And then it explodes!
