Got it!
Sorry for the delay! New question:
Visually, most ThunderCats storytelling is quite straightforward: we see whatâs actually happening. But a few episodes feature fantasiesâglimpses into a characterâs imagination.
In what episode are we treated to a scene of Lion-Oâs imagination?
PS â Dreams and hallucinations donât count (i.e. no Thundera nightmares, Diamondfly pretty lights or Mind Power snowflakes).
Is it all of them? Then in the last episode Lion-O snaps out of it in the shower and laughs to himself. The then puts on a suit and goes into his kitchen, says goodbye to the kids :wilykat:wilykit, kisses the wife :cheetara, then pets the family cat :snarf, before leaving to his hot shot executive job in the city.
Ha! Yes, the unaired 131st episode!!
Is that for real? Where did you get to see that?
Is it the start of the Anointment Trials when Lion-O is reacting in disbelief at the idea that he has to better his fellow Thundercats at their own individual specialties?
My guess is âThe Thunderscopeâ where Lion-O dreams of a future Thundera where we watch plants grow super quick and laugh about it.
No mate, just having a bit of fun since I wasnât sure of the answer. Imaging it though, humanified versions of Tygra as his elevator attendant and Panthro as his driver.
Now BB mentions The Thunderscope, I remember that scene. Pretty sure that must be it.
This is the one I had in mind! Liamâs guess is also a good one, but I donât think it quite qualifies as pure imaginationâmore like a visualization of the things heâs saying.
Anyway, youâre up, BB!
It was all I could think of, and I wasnât 100% sure about it as an answer anyway. What can I say? I only saw season 1 as a kid, I didnât see the rest of it until 2008.
I hear ya. I grew up with what amounted to maybe half of season one on video tape and the movie that I watched repeatedly. It wasnât until 1997 when Cartoon Network reran the show that I got to see it all. Sadly, I treated the episodes like a devout Christian reading newly found chapters of the Holy Bible. And have since watched them all repeatedly. God help me ![]()
Anyhow, new trivia question:
The Thundercatsâ two main adult, female team members (Cheetara and Pummyra) exchange actual dialogue with each other twice during the entire run of the show. In what episodes and in what instances are these exchanges?
In âCatfightâ they challenge each other to fight. Canât think of the 2nd one.
Would you please tell me, BB?
Oh, sorry. It seemed the games were abandoned for awhile. Glad some are back up!
Anyhoot, the answer to the second part of the question is in âRavage Islandâ when Cheetara is telling Pumyra that the bars of the prison only exist in their mind.
Iâll say it is your turn, Tygra_Rules
Wow. Thatâs incredible. Only twice during the whole run? Visionaries managed better than that in just 13 episodes between Galadria, Virulina and Fletchen.
Canât believe it either! One would think of womenâs animosity LOL
OK, please give me some time to think of a new one.
Iâm not entirely sure of the requirements of passing a Bechdel Test, but at least with the two main adult females talking to each other a couple of times and neither time was in relation to the male characters, Thundercats has a slight chance of passing ;-).
I think the conversation has to be a little bit longer than that, but yes. In Visionaries, Galadria and Virulina are minor characters, on opposite sides, and donât get that much screen-time, but their first scene did pit them against each other, and granted they were fighting more than talking, but they never mentioned any men in it!
OK, an easy one, just because Iâm breaking my brains thinking of a difficult one (I think every possible question has been made LOL)
Besides Skytomb, what vehicles did the Lunataks possess and in what episodes did they appear?
There was the Lunatakker, which was seen in âTime Shiftâ and Chilla had her little runabout that was seen in âSideswipeâ. Not sure if there were any others.
