Hmm… I remember gargoyles showing up in “The Sound Stones”, but don’t remember them having a particular given name other than “Guardians of the Sound Stones”, so I guess that’s not what you had in mind
You are right on both counts TR!! :thumbsup “The Sound Stones” and “Guardians of the Sound Stones” are the answers I was looking for. The sign of a true genius - gives the right answer and doesn’t even realize it!
:biggrin
Your turn amigo!
OK, here’s the new one.
In which episode we see a TC carrying another not in a “helping” action, but more in an affectiontate one?
We see Lion-O hold Snarf a few times, but I’ll assume you were excluding Snarfs, in which case I’d say when Lion-O held up Cheetara at the end of “All That Glitters”.
Not the one I had in mind… I wouldn’t call that one “affectionate” precisely, but it’s one. If nobody else gets the right one, I’ll give it to you (unless you guys decide BB should take the turn).
Is the one your thinking of “Trapped”? The Thunderkittens jump into Panthro and Tygra’s hands when they are freed from the time capsule.
Yup, that’s the one! One of the rare ocasiones (if not the only one) in which we see an adult TC carrying the kittens.
Your turn, Mongor.
Not including vehicles, what creatures / things can keep up with / are faster than Cheetara when she is running at her super speed? (I can think of two answers but there might be more.)
Nice one!! I’m gonna take a guess and say
- Man-O-War Cloud
- Bolts of Evil (the energy dragon that Mumm-Ra conjures up in “Tight Squeeze”)
I was thinking Mongor and Charr-Nin.
You got it WilyCub… those are the two I had thought of. After posting the question, I also remembered the camera in “Mechanical Plague”. You’re turn.
Thanks, Mongor! Both lucky guesses! :biggrin Here’s a new one:
In which two episodes are the ThunderKittens in the forest/woods during a storm, seek shelter under a tree, and the tree gets struck by lightning?
“Trapped” and “The Rock Giant”? Under a tree is the worst place…
I think you’re right. Those are the two I was thinking of. The Rock Giant is definitely one, and while I don’t specifically remember it in the other, Trapped does have them out in the storm at the beginning.
Those are the ones! :thumbsup You’d think that after almost being electrocuted once by standing under a tree in a storm the Kittens would have learnt their lesson. But NOOOOO they had to do it again! LOL! :biggrin
Your turn, monsier Zax!
Come to think of it, was the footage of the one reused in the other? I can’t remember.
Amazingly no, I just had a look. Even though they are very similar in content, all the animation appears to be unique. I do prefer the look of The Rock Giant episode though.
I’m with you there mate. The animation in “The Rock Giant” is vastly superior to that of “Trapped”. Many of the averagely written episodes of TCats are made worse by poor animation, IMHO.
It seems standing under trees in storms is a common thing in TCats. Even the Bolkins in “The Ghost Warrior” did the same thing. :biggrin
All right, here’s one I just discovered a few weeks ago! A bit tricky…
Not counting the swarm of single-pilot fighters in “Exodus”, how many PlunDarrian spaceships make appearances over the course of the show, and what are they?
Ok, let’s see how many my old mind can remember:
- The Mutant Mothership
- The RatStar
- Vultureman’s Flying Machine
- Sky-Tomb
- Ice Runner
I don’t suppose the Skycutter counts as a spaceship as I don’t recall it flying in space. (Unless it did in an Overgard episode which I’ve blocked out of my mind!) :laugh
