I agree with many that the wait for the rest of the wave 2 toys is a killer, patience has never been my strong point! Ha! But I canât wait to get my hands on them, Slithe, Claudus and Mumm Ra in particular!
I think there will be a wave 3, and I HOPE that it will be a large wave release to make up for the lacklustre wave 2, with a lot of figures released and very few, if none at all, variations on previous releases!
Monkian and Jackalman, sorry, Kaynar and Addicus (man that takes some getting used to!) are a must! I canât wait to see what they will look like in toy form after seeing the amazing reimagining in the cartoon! And I think Driller would make a decent toy, and redress the good guy/bad guy balance a bit (since this is supposed to be a line for kids to actually play with as well as for us older kids to collect and secretly play with when noone is looking, or is that just me? lol!) Iâd love to see a Jaga as well, and I really think there is a huge demand for a few berbil figures and lizard soldiers too!
I also think that there is scope for a lizard vehicle if they do release some soldiers, like the troop carrier that chased the kittens or one of the war bots (sorry I donât know their official names?) that would be pretty epic!
Also, for a future wave 4, Pumyra is a must too, since she is supposed to be a pretty integral part of future episodes, and by extension Lynx o and Bengali too, obviously.

Also a lizad vehicle has aleady been released too, itâs the lizard canon W/ lizard in the same pack.Itâs sold at a decent price of 13-15$. I am looking forwarde to buying it too.

Yeah Iâve seen the wave 2 figures on amazon US, just canât get them here in the UK yet and Iâm chomping at the bit with impatience!!!

I actually own the lizard cannon and the figure, in my opinion I think it is perhaps one of the best figures, its very solidly built and looks great! My apologies, I think I should have said ANOTHER lizard vehicle. The battle bot is ripe for a toy!!!
I just think itâs a little wierd that they chose to produce a Tyger Flyer with Tygus toy first, (essentially an extremely minor flashback character, when no other flashback characters have been made yet) when there are much more obvious choices to be included in wave 2?!?!? Jaga for example? Driller?

I agree about Pumyra too, although I donât think she looked that bad in the original (I have all of them too). The toy should be pretty good if they stay away from the mould they used for Cheetara (in my opinion the weakest designed/looking of the 2011 toys.:sneaky:) I hope they keep her sling weapon too! I am really looking forward to seeing a Lynxo figure too!
It would be so cool if Bandai continued the ThunderCats toy line.
To be fair if the 8" Classics didnât have the unpainted joints theyâd be on the same level as those figures.
The 8" classics were fine, however these custom figures have a much better, painted texture. Theyâre much closer to what Mattel would release if they won the âbidâ.

Bandai USA did not deserve this license. Time and time again they put out shoddy and disappointing products. They never go the extra mile. Just look at the 4" figures and the terrible paint apps. The flat faces of the figures and how horrible the eyes look.
Even Hasbro wouldâve done a better job with the line. Mattel turned the license down since they already had Voltron.
Whilst I donât disagree with you, and share your concerns about certain aspects of the line, the fact is it is the line we have, and to be honest I would rather have this than nothing, and I want the line to continue for a long time so I think it is important to support it.
On the plus side though, there are some really strong points to the line as well. The lizard cannon and the figure that comes with it is great, a really solid toy, it looks good and is an example of what can happen when they get it right. Panthro (the original 4 inch one) is a decent, solid toy too (and yes I wish they had painted the nunchucks, but hey). I just hope that as further waves comes out things will improve further.
i also agree there are strong points to the line. i think the 4â and 6â lion-o figures are big pluses. there not perfect but there close.
I wonder if the black pegs and face details of wave 2 were what got Bandai into hot water with WB(assuming that this is the case). If you remember, Bandai released promo pics of the 6" Tygra and 6" Cheetara and the face details were AMAZING and the black pegs were gone, then when the wave hit the face detail dropped slightly and the black pegs came back, aka false advertising. I imagine that rubbed A LOT of people the wrong way, like me for one lol.
Give me proof Mattel turned the license downâŚThundercats has more pulling power than Voltron..give me a break.
@ TheVileOne your right on this one! According to âAction Figure Insiderâ message board they called Bandai acquiring the TCats license well before it was officially announcement. (Both Mattel/Hasbro passed up on the line due to their lack of interest of the âclassicâ line).

We dont have to. Do what you feel is right. Just by watching the show you support it. IF you want, buy some toys and spread the word.
Iâm sure a few folks in the know said Mattel went for the license, but Bandai were the top bidder. I know MattyCollector has always said ThunderCats Classics would be great. I know there were also rumours Mattel ONLY wanted the âClassicâ license and not the new stuff as well. Perhaps why they didnât bid as high as Bandai?
Of course this is all rumour and speculation 
I think Mattel had more to gain by going with Voltron. Remember Classic Media control the Filmation library, therefore they own the rights to the He-Man and She-Ra âentertainmentâ side of the franchises Perhaps opening doors to future opportunities was also at play?
