So wait. The Tygra figure isn’t coming on the shipments? That’d explain why I’ve never seen him then..
I haven’t posted much on here but I have to say, at least from where I am (florida) the figures seem to be selling pretty well. The only things I constantly see on the shelves are mummified mum-ra, the thundertank, tower of omens and deluxe lion o and tygra. I see the the rest get restocked and then they are gone again. I am thinking that they will reveal new stuff shortly after the cartoon comes back on because the toys will be pretty “spoiler” heavy…still, my only cause for concern is that they could have showed some classics or at least rumoured 6 inch figures at toyfair. that was really dissapointing.
I just found wave 2 at a Walmart in Marysville, Ohio today and nabbed Mumm-ra and Claudus. At last!
I heard (rumors) somewhere online that WB is shopping the ThunderCats toy line again, thus Bandai cancelling their Tcats line! That would probably explain figures going on clearance/ and no new figures showing @ this year toyfair… I hope Spin Masters or Jakks Pacific get them =)
That sounds strange and certainly we haven’t seen it happening very often on the Toy industry, it’s not like the Statue companies which all crave for a take on a property. Ebay still has plenty of Bandai Thundercats though which are still being sold at decent prices.
We are alredy in Season 2 and it would be very sudden for Bandai to cancel the production.And if another one is planning on acquring the rights, will take a long time to produce them at the factories.We are talking about mass production for huge Toystores worldwide.
By any means, this wouldn’t be good for the new SAeries and would inevitably affect the franchise.Cartoon and Toyline should be moving hand in hand.This is the philosophy.
On the other hand, it is a mystery why the Warehouses of the big Toystores are running out of stock and they aren’t supplied again.I’ve read it before about the limited stock.I don’t know, we will have to wait and see.
It would certainly be an interesting turn of events. If this were to happen, I guess we’d get confirmation at SDCC, perhaps with prototype reveals of any new toys. I’m not the biggest fan of Mattel, but if it meant the Four Horsemen would be sculpting them, then I can live with Mattel producing them! (well so long as Cheetara does get a UK release…)
I guess with the cartoon series going strong and if WB is dissatisfied with Bandai’s efforts, shopping the license again could happen I guess…
I do know a lot of the adult fan base will be much happier if this rumour is true! 
Interesting to hear this has happen before, do you know what toy line this has happened too? If all this is indeed true by WB to change toy companies…I hope this is for the better!
When asked about new products, I do remember a few Bandai employees for the brand mentioned “we have nothing to comment on at this time” at the 2012 Toy Fair. IMO, things are 50/50! (I like Bandai but want them to improve).

im in iowa ive seen no 6 inch series 2 no new 4 inch figures. clearanced out tower of omens and thundertank. clearanced out lion o and tygra 8 inch classics and 6 inch modern lion o. the only new item ive seen is armor of omens.
I would love if Four Horseman did the sculpts, but not to sure on Mattel after they handled MOTU 2002!
I must admit I’m really impressed with WB and how they want this franchise to be successful. They got on CN’s case to promote the show a bit better by changing time slots. Hopefully that will lead to more consistent air time every Saturday.

I noticed yesterday while at a local TRU (Columbus, OH) that all the Thundercats product was marked on clearance. I know there’s also a sale going on right now (Buy 1, get 1 40% off)…but all the shelf tags were clearly marked clearance (i.e. 4" figures were 5.99).
Same at my TRU. the 6" modern figures were only $9.99. I was tempted to pick up a Panthro (thats all they had). but didnt.
Honestly (I have invested in the 6" line big time btw) I really would like it if Bandai got the line yanked and WB gave it to a more competent toy maker. I love my Thundercats and Bandai is putting poor quality products out there because they can, look at the black colored pegs in the joints in Wave 2 for pete’s sake. It was an issue in Wave 1 and they let it continue on to wave 2, also Bandai seems to enjoy not painting ankle joints(Lion-0 6" classic for reference). So even having already invested in the Bandai line, if a better toy company got the license and did it right, I would happily reinvest in that one. Not to mention the distribution of the Thundercats toys has been awful, my Toys R Us and Target have been out of stock of Thundercats and BEEN THAT WAY for months. It’s confusing and makes me even more frustrated with Bandai.
I’m not thrilled with Bandai either, but I’d at least like to see them get the 6" Kittens out before anything like this would happen.
Honestly I’m concerned at this point that we won’t even see Tygra 6". With the way things are going, there might not be a second shipment of wave 2, aka the one with Tygra actually included. That would be most lame, as would Bandai not producing the 6" Thunder Kittens.
Yeah 6" Tygra would have been cool to have right now. What other toy companies do you have in mind to potentially take Bandai’s place?
Tygra is around, you just have to keep at it. He’s worth the hunt, though. Tygra really is the best of the 6" figures. The black pegs that plague the line aren’t as noticeable on him due to the armor and black stripes that hide most of them pretty well.
I was under the impression Tygra wasn’t out there outside of the few orders that got placed at enchanted toychest. Is he actually out there somewhere? And as for which toy company I’d like to see get the license (this is making the big assumption bandai is getting canned) I hadn’t really thought about it. Whichever toy company actually puts detail on the facial features and doesn’t slap the fans in the face with unpainted joints and black pegs would be just fine with me. You know? All I ask is for a decent quality product if I am shelling out 15 bucks for a plastic action figure, and Bandai just didn’t respect the fans at all with what it put out in the stores. The bendy weapons were annoying too. I’d be willing to pay more than what they cost now IF THE PRODUCT was really high quality, that’s what counts the most. But that is just my humble opinion. I still am thankful to have any Tcat figures in existence at all.

Bandai doing this series was a disaster from the beginning. They were the worst possible choice.
