I think the tech stone won’t give just flight but form the armor like from the flashbacks.
As for the blue stone, my theory is that it can control some elemental forces, like ice and fire. The power to freeze things could be very useful under water. We can assume it won’t have the same powers as the other stones or the abilities of the other Cats, like invisibility, super speed, or super strength. That would be kind of redundant. If it doesn’t control elemental forces, it could possibly transmute substances, like alchemy.
We should also consider that each stone has more than one ability. The War Stone can generate raw power, but also can provide Sight Beyond Sight to Lion-O. Likewise, the Spirit Stone can create an energy shield, but it also has the power to revive the dead and look into people’s souls. The Tech stone has displayed the power to create armor, but may also be able to upgrade or repair machines.
I have read someone theorize on TVTropes that each stone has something to do with sentience. Wars are made by sentient beings, sentient beings have spirits, and machines are created by sentient beings with knowledge. I don’t think the blue stone has power over the mind because that might make Lion-O too powerful, and it seems a little too close to spirit.
I would agree that the Sharks most likely have the stone. However, just keeping an open mind, what are the race options? How many races are there in the universe?
The power stones so far: War, Spirit, Tech, _______ ? Nature? (as suggested earlier).
Seems the themes covered are war, religion, technology(culture), ____ a fourth theme of life is missing.
Maybe they could call it the Alchemy Stone, if it’s able to transmute things. It would make it similar to the Philosopher’s Stone from so many other franchises, like Harry Potter or Full Metal Alchemist.
I have to agree with Daremonger. I definitely think it will be an elemental stone. Especially since they have Cheetara’s staff can connect with nature one with the elements. Just like the ancient spirits of evil are all represented by each of the mutant races, I have seen the stones can be compared to the thundercats. Tech stone- Panthro (pretty self explanatory), Spirit Stone- Tygra (was always supposed to have agreat power of the mind in the OS) War Stone - Lion-O (war is part of becoming a great king and and battling evil), and that would leave the 4th stone to be an Elemental Stone- CHeetara (her staff is already connected to nature)
To me it is kinda like how each of the Thundercats was needed to find the Tower of Omens, they all played they’re part. Just like all the stones are needed to defeat Mumm-ra, everyone of the Thundercats are needed to stand with Lion-O (their king) and defeat Mumm-ra. I’m guessing clearly, but to me it makes sense.
I do hope the 4th stone is underwater and can lead to the Tigersharks. I also hope that Turmagar or the Tuskians would be involved in finding the underwater city. Walrus, water..just makes sense to me.
If the stone is under water, and it most likely is, that just fuels my theory that it is connected to the classical elements in some way.
Let’s examine how the blue stone looks like; it has a translucent crystaline structure, with a red core and it seems to give off this sort of blue fire or steam. This suggests both ice and fire, hot and cold. Change and preservation.
It’s easy to tell what the practical powers of this stone could be; possibly a freeze ray and/or a heat ray. The heat ray wouldn’t be like the War Stone’s energy beam, which looks more concussive, like Cyclops’ eye beams from X-Men. As for its secondary power, hard to tell. Maybe freezing time, or time travel? That seems like it could be overkill though.
There’s also the possibility it could have a power similar to that of a Green Lantern ring, able to create energy constructs through will.
ALL the Stones of Power are full of great energy if wielded correctly. The blue stone needs another name entirely, though I like my own name for it - “Nature Stone.”
I would not trust that wiki before it gets confirmed.
EDIT: It now says “Unknown fourth stone: a diamond shaped blue stone. So far it is unknown what power it yields, but it is seen that when fused with the Spirit stone in the Gauntlet of Plun-Darr, it creates the Armor of Plun-Darr.”
I dont think energy stone fits. Same as magic they all seem like “power/energy/magic” stones. The other names so far has been very good. Someone mentioned it having the power of elements so maybe Element stone? I dont like THAT name but something about elements would be good i think.
hm… energy doesn’t seem to fit it all that well in my head to be honest. I know it would self explanitory, but I feel like the writers could do it much more justice.
Like I said about justice - the writers could do a much more decent job than that. And I agree - a name that is relevant to the elements would without a doubt be very interesting… constituent? substance? Hypostasis? I’m thinking random synonyms. (but probably too long winded for any one person to make simple sense out of)
