Okay, so I seriously checked if anyone else had this thread up, and the answer was no, so without further ado - SPECULATION ON THE FOURTH STONE!
So we all know that the fourth blue stone was given to a species that wasn’t dogs, monkeys, rats or lizards. (do we really need to state the obvious cats, birds and elephants too?) So that kind of leaves us with the marine life… or in this case TIGERSHARKS! But I gotta know - am I the only one who believes in this theory? (cause personally some narwhals would make my day! hahaha… yeah not gonna happen)
But seriously - what are your thoughts? Cause let’s be honest - it’s on your mind!
The final stone is indeed with the Tigersharks. If you look at the inserts with the hands grabbing the stones in “What Lies Above” the hand grabbing the blue stone is webbed. So, aquatic fun awaits us if we get a second season.
I do think maybe the stone could be in the water. It might take them a long time to find it if they do a second season. Maybe, we will see the Jedis of the sea LOL!
sounds awesome - but that does kind of lead into the direction of how would they react? I mean the elephants were all just ‘yeah it’s cool - just worry about your brother stealing your first love interest’, and now we’ve got the issue with birds and reacting in a ‘You silly uncultured swine! You lower beings! You can’t have this stone - otherwise we’ll all die!’ and who knows how that one will end, so you have to admit how would they take to the idea of bringing together stones that were meant to never reunite?
The tech stone is certainly with an aquatic culture of some sort, but I really hope they reference the tigersharks as a short visual ‘in joke’ only. A shark/dolphin culture would be awesome to explore in the second season, and perhaps could even lead to an appearance from the berserkers (if they are on the sea for a couple of episodes??)
I think you raise a really interesting point in how they would react though, and I’m guessing it will obviously be one of three ways.
extreme dislike/hatred of the cats and no wish to help them (but we’ve already had this (kind of) with Vultaire).
distrust that slowly turns to trusting the cats after they help them in some way (most likely).
eager to help the cats and become strong allies (already had this with the elephants).
We all know the Tigersharks have the fourth stone.
What I want to know is what it does? We’ve had the Warstone/Eye of Thundera which is basically pure offensive power. The Spirit Stone is defensive power & enhancing one’s soul, and the Tech Stone obviously lends itself to the operation of machinery. So what does the last one do? If it is underwater, my guess is some kind of power that gives the owner some kind of adaptation ability to the surrounding environment.
But when you look at the flash back again, the stone was steaming with energy. It could be that the animals that posses it, use it as a method to avoid predators. That happens a lot with marine creatures. Maybe in the same way that the elephants used the Spirit Stone as an Astral Plane, and the birds use the Tech Stone as a way to keep Avista afloat, it could be that they use the energy to adapt to water. So if one were to use it (Mumm-Ra or Lion-O in this case) it could provide the user with energy (i.e. rapid healing, altered strength and stamina).
So when the civilization uses it, it could be about providing energy in homes, or energy for the city to adapt to it’s envirnoment to avoid predators. If this is true, the possibilities are endless.
I’m not sure, but from how it looks it seems as if the stone only provides the energy for the city to stay up in the air, and doesn’t literally cause it to fly.
Not even that, I may be way off here but I read it as the stone supplied them with the ability and know how to make the city fly on it’s own, so without the stone, the tech would still exist and work. I’m speculating that perhaps there are some sort of self replicating nanobots that the stone supplies or something to help the user improve and interact with tech?
They are called power stones, but what are they really? What we need to think about is this: Is the stones magic or technology? With one of the stones called “tech stone” i would assume all of them are “magic stones”.
