Well you guys know me well enough by now to know that I am very proud and protective of my section. So I’ll ask you to indulge me my belief that it should be treated distinctly from the Cartoon section despite it being a sub section. I just won’t and can’t change that view.
All the same, I am very happy with Manny’s treatment of it in the update, so no complaints from me.
And yes, in many ways I care more about my section than the overall site. Just in the same way that I care more about the animation art from the show, than what I care for watching the episodes themselves. It’s what is nearest and dearest to my heart and I make no apologies for that.
But I do still care about the site, and all you guys who I consider my best T-Cat buddies in the world!
Which is fair comment, although I have to say that my viewpoint is the same as MannyF’s - although the Animation Art Section is its own autonomous {sp?} area, at the end of the day I think it’s fair to say that it’s an area that is of most interest to fans of the ThunderCats cartoon (as opposed to toyline, comics, etc.). To that end, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for updates to it to be announced alongside other Cartoon-related updates as MannyF has done - as far as I’m concerned, that’s definitely not belittling the area or the outstanding stuff that’s in there, but simply showcasing material that will appeal to fans of a particular aspect of the property simultaneously…
On that much we can definitely agree! Once again MannyF delivers in spades! double thumbs up
Don’t get me wrong, Mark, I think it’s natural that whoever is in charge of a particular section is going to care most about that section. It’s the same as the British govenment - whoever is Health Secretary is going to care about their political party in general, but care most about their Party’s health policy, so there’s no difference as far as I’m concerned! I think if I was going to try and better articulate my comments, what I would say is that if I was in your position I would want (and feel entitled to) the autonomy that the Animation Art Section has, but that I personally wouldn’t have any problem with updates to that section being announced as part of an overall Cartoon-related update, ditto I would take a slightly less (for want of a better word) “territorial” outlook than you sometimes seem to. Which is cool, because everyone’s different and the important thing with a team like this is learning how to work together and respect each other’s viewpoints, but, that would be the comment I would (at least try rather clumsily!) to make.
Which is another thing that we can definitely agree on! And, I think something else that we can agree on is that we are all here because we love one aspect or another of the same thing, which is always something to celebrate!
