A lot of us want the show to last a long time (except drum roll please…The VileOne XD). I think this franchise needs to go in a different direction and be made into a feature film, to the mainstream audience a chance to experience this underrated property…sorta like the Transformers movie in 2007!
Respectfully disagree. I don’t think we need a movie, and it’s mainly because they’ll screw everything up for the big screen (The Last Airbender, Transformers) just to appeal more to the casual movie crowd. I’d much rather just have the show continue as it is than get a movie.

then eventually when we are left with the DVD’s this whole series as a whole will be a true gem
Me too. I see so many people wanting it to have more than 52 episodes, but I’d be fine with that as long as the story gets across. I have a feeling if they made anything after the 52 it wouldn’t be as good as they were.
Dont hate on him in THAT way. He is a fan like all of us and he’s just skeptical until we got actual proof.
Up until now, “he’s been right”. We still dont know if it’s gonna continue and he has all right to think the way he does. It’s just THE WAY HE’S DOING IT that everyone is annoyed about.
He’s viewing it like he has all these inside things telling him it’s going to be cancelled, when the people on the inside, like Dan Norton, don’t even know. At this point, anything could happen. let’s just hope the ones fighting behind the scenes plus the good ratings and fan support will keep it alive.
I’d be ok with a movie as long as it was animated and not live action. Animated movies tend to be way more faithful to the source material. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm for example.
It would be cool if we could get a movie with the current style we have and the same voice actors and everything, kinda like Thundercats, HO! between the first and second season of the OS.
Or if the show did get canceled, I’d be ok with them continuing the story with straight to DVD movies like Futurama did before they brought it back.

Yes, that would be great. All the episode ideas could just be smashed into different movies. That would actually be a very good idea! CN can’t cancel DVDs.
Well it is in a way true, they are officially on hiatus, the next set of episodes for season two have been ordered, just not produced yet, Dan Norton has stated they are having a break and they are NOT cancelled, so I’m pretty optimistic.
I love how all the people, including Dan Norton, confirmed several times that it’s not cancelled. It’s sad that people after that still think it is.
Sorry Rizefall, he hasn’t been right at all. Nothing he has said about the toy line or the show being cancelled has been proven right yet at all. I agree it is the constant way he is doing things that is getting peoples backs up though.

I am curious what podcast some of you listened to. Dan Norton did not state that the series is not cancelled—Manny did. And the manner in which Dan speaks of the series belies his actual words. He says that he is hopeful that the series will continue but speaks of the series throughout the podcast in the past tense. He says there is a possibility the series will continue but reassures the listeners that the series could be rebooted again in ten years. It would seem to be the way one would speak about the series if he sees the writing on the wall but wants viewers to keep watching the show:

Except the whole reason for this series to exist is to advertise toys. If there are no toys to sell, there is no reason for Warner Bros. to continue to produce the series in any format. We have already been through this exact scenario with Mattel and the Mike Young Productions Masters of the Universe series in 2004.

It the worst comes to happen, then hopefully they can wrap the series up in another way. Like the movies idea some of you have brought up, or maybe a comic book.
Did they say in podcast “The series is not cancalled, we are gonna make a second season”.
Until they say that last part, i’m not convinced.
They did say not cancelled. Otherwise, no. I’m not convinced, just hopeful.
