I’m glad to hear he is very optimistic about it. From the looks of it, it seems like a second season isn’t out of question at all, but it will be a long time before we get anything. I’m thinking well into 2013.

Something interesting on the toy side: “it takes a year for them to build a prototype.”
If that doesn’t explain why there wasn’t any new toys at Toyfair nothing does.
Interesting point! If it takes them a year for 1 prototype, we would all hope it’s a flawless one =)
I certainly would like to know more about how that business operates, cause at this rate Bandai is way behind schedule when producing figures.
Then again you have companies like Playmates seemingly popping out new figures like gumballs when they where doing the TMNT line…my theory is every toy company operates differently on how they handle producing figures quickly!
This podcast had so much contect to reply on that I probably don’t have the room for in this little box . but , it’s amazing to me how for a person that has a problem with focusing on something for long . this facsinated me so much that I listened to this from start to end .
Knowing now how much hard work is done behind the scenes only makes me want to be part of this even more and not that it comes as a suprise to me but it’s great hearing how much heart was put in this show . it’s obvious that it was made by creative people who re-imagined the oldschool show . and added alot more deph to it on every level. andlike it or hate it , it’s thought provoking amd this is truely an insparation for me as someone who’s dream is to be a cartoonist . and I wasn’t around when the original show was - but THIS one is what influenced me (along with other great stuff we have in MY generation) and what sets the bar for what I want to do . both story wise and visually - as I got alot to learn before I could be at the same level as Dan norton when it comes to deigns and drawing overall .

Yeah, but they had the annoying habit of bringing out 230 different versions of the same figure. ie no new moulds. I hate that. I’d personally not like to see that happen with the TC. With the exception of Panthro with his new arms, there isn’t really any excuse for it. Now if they are taking their time with new prototypes, then hey, I’m all for waiting! I hope they make them damn good this time! A non deluxe and articulated Slithe, Addicus, Kaynar, Pumyra, Jaga, a berbil or two, lets face it there is a lot of room for options in a wave 3!! And there is certainly an appetite for them!

But being on “hiatus” is not really true either. That would indicate it got a new season but they just took a break. It’s still not confirmed, but the probability has been increased.
Basically what he said was no decision has been made yet, but that there are a lot of people behind the scenes fighting for it. He sounded optimistic.
Indeed, hopefully they will succeed .
Is it just me or did that new ThunderCats Rock Band story line intrigue me even more, especially when Mr. Norton said that it was going to be a good series? Maybe it would have appealed to this new generation of kids more!
If they did that stupid rockband idea, there isn’t a place on this planet they could hide from me.
I don’t recall him saying it was going to be a good series. I only recall him saying he had nothing to do with it.
A rock-band story would’ve been a great filler for “ThunderCats 2011,” but with a killer sci-fi twist.
Legend of the Seeker was put on “hiatus” just like this. Fool me once.. I’d love to be wrong though.
He did say he had nothing to do with it, but a little later he mentioned (if memory serves me correctly) that the people that would have been involved with it were awesome and that he was sure they would have done a great job. I am certainly glad we got the series we did.
For all who havent listened yet, this is a great episode.
On a side note, does anyone know if Thundercast is planning on having any new episodes?
