everybody relax, this is sarcasm. I just dont understand why some people are SO negative. A while ago I deceided not to post in the 2011 section because of this. Now I thought I could speak my mind about the cancelation and, lo and behold, I’m sucked back in… I’m off to the OS Section again

Not even sure what he is doing here. He obviously is not a fan of the show so why even be on the forum? Most of us agree the show did not do TC the justice it deserved or that it was not as good as it could be. He just comes here whines, trash it down and quite frankly i just wonder why he wastes his time coming here doing that.
I think he said something about this is the only active part, might be true but i dont want you to come here to just talk trash about a show you obviously did not like, go somewhere else.

How awesome would that have been for the new ThunderCats? It would even save the series from its latest state.

Ofcourse I can, but these discussions have a habbit of becoming vicious and I really dont like that. I’m not interested in having my enjoyment over this series lessened. When I say I enjoy the show and think it’s good and someone tells me that I’m wrong cause it isnt good, it ticks me off. And that is not why I visit this forum. I come here to share ideas and celebrate ThunderCats, not to bash it and nitpick it to death.
Anyways the discussions about the 2011 series have become tiring; I really like the show and would love to see it concluded. Thats all I’ve got to say about it. I’m out.
I’m not trashing like you do. You all out hate it by what you have been typing and i’ve said i like this show but certain flaws made it so not much people watched it and the show failed, that’s just being honest and not hating on it.

I do not hate the show, I hate the incompetent way it was handled.
I was only being honest. If I was to say it was anything other than a failure or that the creative team did a good job, I would not be being honest.
Yeah it would have been nice if it had been treated the same way but I honestly don’t think even that would have been enough to save the NS.
I wouldn’t say the creative team as a whole failed. Almost all (major) issues people have was with the writing. The design, animation, voice acting, etc. were superb IMO.

You said that you “come here to share ideas,” but you are not receptive to ideas that do not bolster your continued enjoyment of the series. What you mean is that you only want to share ideas with a sympathetic audience.
If you want to post in an echo chamber, then go talk to a mirror. Those of us who want to have an actual discussion with people with a diversity of viewpoints will continue to post here.
People note the inactivity of the board, and this post is endemic of that problem. During the 2011 series, people who thought it was flawed were shouted down and effectively silenced. Now that the tables have turned, these folks want to post with impunity, with no dissenting opinions allowed.

This doesn’t really have anything to do with the topic itself, but I am intrigued by the similarities of the last episodes of the 2011 ThunderCats series and how this thread has developed.
At first, it seemed like, in general, people expressed their sadness/disappointment in the ending of the show, much like the end of Avista in the series brought similar emotions.
After the show ended, people in this thread started to lash out at each other in anger over their opinions the series, much like Pumyra started to lash out and betray the ThunderCats when she felt abandoned by Lion-O.

When I say creative I do mainly mean the writers, although I must admit personally did not like the new designs of the 2011 Thundercats, Lion-O especially. The only ones I thought were well designed were Grune and Claudis, not perfect, but better than the others.
Agreed. IMO they tried too many stand alone eps, the pacing was really off, and they did not execute the characterization and development much. Not to mention the way they pushed the ~love triangle~ and then all that crap with Cheetara…still irritated about the explanation that Norton gave of “if you give a girl a rose and are nice to her” to explain the TyChee thing.

Well, i looked it up again, and he said about the flower thing/TyChee (i got the rose part wrong, oops):

So basically, from what i’ve gathered, Tygra got her the cleric job cause he gave her a flower in her time of need, and she fell in love with him for it. Remember how she was about to give up on her dream before she got the flower and found it’s magical powers??

He helped her through a really tough time. He is part of the reason she was able to continue sticking it out on that porch. It’s not hard to believe amorous feelings developed from it. Also, you’re being sorta dishonest by ignoring the fact that the flower was basically food to help sustain her. It wasn’t something for her to pin in her hair, or keep in her diary. She was starving. He gave her food to keep her a live so she wouldnt be forced to pick between getting off the streets, or starving to death.
Also, Tygra did not get her the job. I don’t think its at all fair to ignore how far she got without Tygra’s help.
