Tygra was off brooding by himself. She approached him and explained her feelings. She presented what was left of the orchid he gave her and then kissed him.

Y’know, what I loved most about this ep was everyone got equal screen time. It wasn’t twenty two minutes of just Lion-o.

And while I’m at it, was I the only one who was feeling bad for Wilykat when he was on the front lines watching all those lizards get blown up? 'Cause I could definitely see more than a bit of shock in his eyes at witnessing the reality of war that close up.

I dont know if I said it here or on Tumblr, but I had a sneaking suspicion that she kept that flower. Why else only show part of it. What happened to the rest?

Cheetara has done a fare share of what could be INTERPRETED as romantic interest. Some people tend to be a bit more touchy feely then others. It happens, but not once did she flat out do something that couldn’t be taken as platonic as well. Some people kiss on the cheek when parting, heck my friend’s grandparents kissed me on the cheek the first time we met and every meeting after. Cheetara is an orphan, maybe she goes what some might call overboard, because she never got that when she was little. I noticed things like that usually go both ways. Either your over the top or too abstinent.
That’s a good question, because the dialogue prompting Lion-O and Tygra’s escape implied that there isn’t an astral plane anymore now that they’ve claimed the stone.
Grune is/was a really great villain. I’d hate to think we won’t be seeing him again.

Did you not pay attention to what was said in the ep? He wasn’t obessed with something meaningless leading to him losing his arms.
He sacrificed part of himself to get rid of a great evil that helped kill most of the cats and would continue killing till he ruled the world.
Lol it’s ok CodeofThundera, it sounds like there were a lot of changes, but this is a new show, not the old one. I think we have to roll with it and just understand this show WILL be very different in some ways. Maybe you’ll feel better about the episode after letting it sit for a few days? At least Tygra bagged the hottie, right

I thought the episode was very well done. I may have thought it would be Lion-o, but the writers made me believe it- so I’ll buy it.
Uhm- I actually like Panthro losing his arms. War is brutal- even though its a kids show, we should at least show them that, and that it’s not a game.
I’ll miss Grune though- I thought he was a very interesting sonofabetch to watch, and I was not at all surprised that he and Slithe would stab Mumm-Ra too in the back. The only loyalty those to have is to themselves.
I was actually afraid that the writers might go “soft” on this episode. There was speculation that Grune would be redeemed. Uhm he’s killed how many of his own people, by this point?call me old fashioned but I don’t think there are some things that can be redeemed. And even if he cared for Panthro as a brother, it didn’t change what he did. Glad they didn’t hold any punches in this.
Felt bad for Lion-o, and no not just because of my personal preference. Liked the timing of the betrayal- beautifully done.

this occurred to me before the episode aired, but I didn’t say anything, but in the Lion-O/Tygra fight (not the love triangle, the actual fight) it was pretty apparent to me that Tygra would win. why? because Lion-O’s trials are coming in a couple episodes and I’m betting Lion-O will finally beat him then.
It seems to me that she was unknowingly leading him on. I have never met a girl who presses her chest against a man that isn’t flirting with him/holds his hand and tells him she believes in him/etc. And the whole “flower = why i love you/why i know you care” was really random, since she didn’t seem to remember him before. It felt unrealistic. I wouldn’t even mind T/C if she had showed prior interest in him and hadn’t been all over Lion-o while “encouraging” him. It just doesn’t sit right with me.
Good point, that will be a pretty cool moment for him.
I wonder what is going to start the anointment trials. Are they suddenly just going to realize he needs to do them or will something else trigger it. I’m hoping Lynx-O, Pumyra and Bengali show up and Lynx-O insists they keep to the tradition. It’s going to seem pretty random if they just bring it up out of nowhere while they are trying to find the stones of power.

wouldnt Lion-O see the Cheetara/Tygra kiss as a betrayal by Cheetara as opposed to a betrayal by Tygra.
Lion-O kept referring to Cheetara as a “competition”, so in his eyes, wouldnt this be Tygra “winning”?
as for the betrayal, it seems that Lion-O already considered that “win” in the bag, and that Cheetara was his, which could cause Lion-O to feel like Cheetara betrayed him by jumping sides over to Tygra
long story short, i still dont see where Tygra betrayed Lion-O in any way
