Um…what are you trying to say? That being adopted doesn’t make them your real family? That adopted kids aren’t as mature as biological ones?

In my country, and in whole Latin America, it’s pretty normal for brothers and sisters to kiss in the cheak.
The problem is, even though the show is produced in the USA, the TCs live in another world, not the USA, so whatever custom you have there, not necessarily is valid on Third Erath.
Maybe for Thunderans it is very normal to display affect in such ways.
I feel the same even though I like Lion-o but people are like kicking him when he’s down. He should leave or he’ll find Pumyra. I’m tired of hearing who deserves her better!

Yes, it is absolutely true that more development characters besides Lion-O and particularly between those two would have helped it seem more plausible and less of a shock. However, the story is primarily from Lion-O’s perspective, it’s generally been his his journey, from boy to man, correct? So perhaps as the audience, we’re seeing things more from his perspective anyway. Besides the interviews alluding to a curve ball in this area too.
This entire group of episodes has had the theme of Lion-O learning to look at the big picture; could it even be that in harmony with that theme, there’s been so little revealed about the characters? The audience gets more info than Lion-O via flashbacks, but perhaps it’s so that we’re right alongside him as he’s learning more about these people as well, and learning to view them differently than he did initially.
And hey, how bout jumpin over to the Lion-O fan thread and showing the boy some love there? ← shameless plug

No, I’m not saying that at all. But I am saying is adopted kids have emotional issues not always solved that can hold them back emotionally.

the only times we really saw lion-o and cheetara together was when she was encouraging and/or flirting with him . she never really protected him outside if the first episode.
So who is the target Demographic of this show? Still showed Tygra upset about it. I guess he should have kissed Lion-o too and wished him luck then I’d been like ah happens all the time
The way yoou worded it…sorry. But i don’t think we’ll know for sure if that’s what happened with Tygra until we learn about his parents. And even then that shouldn’t be an excuse.
What I’m saying is maybe they’re creating a whole lot of cultural references for the TCs, not only those from the USA, even when they might be the biggest demogrphics.

That’s exactly the problem: we don’t know. Lion-o could have been cruel and mean to him for all we know. Or maybe Claudus’ wife rejected him and only took him in because those were Claudus’ orders.
And yes, that could be a perfectly understandable and valid excuse.

Agreed with too much meaness going around. I think as long as people make the decision to not contribute to the flame wars between either character our discussions can only improve (I miss fun discussions a LOT), I love debating motives, personalities and relationships of all the cats in good fun but I swear I’m convinced there are people out there ready to murder Tygra for recent developments and uh much as I hate to admit it he’s not real! And stabbing fictional characters is indeed insanity folks…

I didn’t say you, in fact I don’t believe I said anyone specifically. Just an observation made from many fans across several boards, not just this one. I was simply posting mostly as a reminder that we are all Thundercats fans and should be able to have discussions that don’t turn into flame wars. Relax, I’m not picking on you, I promise.

Being adopted is a family. At some point, my wife and I want to adopt. There are so many kids that need good families!!
Forgive me, what was the question?
I am saying Tygra should feel blessed to be adopted into the royal family, he could have been like cheetara and have no one. He thinks he deserves everything, but he is not of the royal blood line.
