whoever ends up with whom is irrelevant, i’ve done some ressearch into the OS and i see why they would chose to go with the old concept (shame they didn’t put much thought in to just how).

that scene was unquestionally Lion-o’s worst side brought to light (that a¤#) however to say that he may or may not feel strongly about Cheetara is somewhat questionable your’e still capable to feel strongly about someone however you may lack the emotional maturity to see the other side.
However Cheetara is another story all together either she is manipulative or she’s unqualified to be his teacher (I never thought she was overly affectionate the way she acted may be due to inexperience when dealing with students). She may have intended not to mislead him in any way (maybe) but we also have to recognize that Lion-o (correct me if im wrong) never actually asked for her support but rather reacted to the dubious signals she was sending. The responsibility to set the nature of the relationship lies on the aggressor and personally i think Cheetara never made it a point to see just where Lion-o boundries for friendship where in the first place.
Im pretty sure Lion-O will want to question her relationship with Tygra and he’ll probably comment about his own feelings and the ones he thought she shared as well.
We’ve been left on a huge cliff hanger. Nothing is settled, nothing at all. Honestly CheeTygra was the only way ( if she had to choose) to keep the triangle going at this point. If she chose Lion-O it would have been pretty open and shut. We’ve had hints that could suggest that she felt more then just friendship for him and if she did choose him it would have just been that. No one could no longer argue that she was only being encouraging without another motive.
With CheeTygra there is more then enough questions to answer. Why now? WHy didnt she say anything before ? Why are we just now finding out about her past with Tygra? If she knows she was in the middle of a war between the brothers what stopped her from commenting on it? She is the only character out of everyone in this triangle to have NEVER had an inner monologue. No one knows what Cheetara’s inner most thoughts are about well, anything.
I love CheeTygra and with the proper development there past relationship could be the foundation for a strong couple.But I wont kid myself, there is plenty left unsaid.
It is really too much screen time taken up with fights that is primarily causing the problem.

I do think the action needs to take a backseat every now and again so that character can be developed in this series. It is why everything is so off in plot and pacing. Too much action. No balance.
Crud I totally forgot who this is aired towards. I’m suppose to be at the toy store getting all the lastest new toys. Sigh as an 80’s child it makes alot of sense now that the cartoons were a marketing gimic to buy the lastest action figure or newest i.e tank or plane.
I see the new series does have alot of depth, it’s not your run of the mill hero defeats villian, villian retreats wash rince repeat. I think if your going to resolve something the brother’s haven’t in years in a 1/2 show your missing the boat. Is it CN that wouldn’t allow an hour finale or even a hour premier back. If were going to need Lion-o to grow and up and learn we at least need him to understand and learn something from this. If I’m here confused I’m sure he is just as well.
She not necesasrily has to be told about that. She’s smart and intuitive enough to know the brothers were fighting over her as well. Believe, a girl always knows.
Just like it worked against Tygra in OS “All that Glitters”, except that in that episode Lion-o used it to attack (thus it broke); in this ep it wasn’t for attack but to defend Lion-o, even if it was Tygra.
In another thread it is discussed that Grune could hold the SoO because he wasn’t compeltely evil. Same could happen with Tygra, and everyone for the matter. I repeat, Lion-o himself is not Mother Theresa either; if he were, he wouldn’t be competing with Tygra for Cheetara and snappin it at him, that’s not noble at all. I think the SoO senses people’s real tendencies, despite everybody being abel to a bad action or thuoght from time to time.
Remember OS ep “Mad Bubbler”? Lion-o said he would go into the cave because, as Lord of the TCs, he has no evil in him, and Jaga told him everybody ahs bad sides. The SoO knows thatm, but feels people’s escense IMO.
Besides, evil can touch and hold the SoO (OS Mumm-Ra did it a lot of times), but can’t use it.

Also the Astral Plan brings out the worst of your thoughts and feelings. In the Astral Plan is the first time Tygra’s has ever really brought HIS feelings to the table. So yes in some deep dark part of him he does feel like Lion-O stole the girl he’s loved for years from him.
He still wasn’t swaggering around like Lion-O. Lion-Os feelings about the competition were in the open and outside of the AP. I’ve always thought what you refrain from saying is almost as important and integral to your character as what you do. Because you have to knowledge what saying those things may mean to others around you, and the ones you care about. You’ve never had a personal thought that you’d be hard pressed to say out loud? Can you imagine how hard it is to think rationally in a place like that? In a place thats meant to magnify the potency of that though by a large amount, its highly likely it’ll surface.
Im not excusing it, but I still think Tygra’s keeping his integrity up until that point was upstanding.
Yea, I’d be pretty surprised if the love triangle continues, because frankly, it’s not a triangle anymore. Tygra and Cheetara are together, end of story. If anything is going to continue, it’s Lion-o’s personal inner struggles with his “failure” to best Tygra and his “failure” to achieve a relationship with Cheetara. The guy is only 17 right? Having your entire people massacred and then having the crown and all its responsibility thrust on you is an enormous undertaking and on top of that he was trying to experience having a girlfriend. It’s all quite a lot to deal with. The love triangle’s resolution, coupled with all the responsibilities he has as a teenage king, are going to be the things that forge who Lion-o grows into as an adult. While he may be taking a licking right now, I imagine he is going to come out a much stronger individual than he would have had Thundera not been obliterated and Cheetara fell into his lap. But yea, the love triangle is over, at least from Tygra and Cheetara’s perspective. Now, if it does still come up, it’s only going to do so in Lion-o’s head.
Cheetara chose Tygra, end of story. They go together better, I think. This leaves the main hero open to explore relationships with any new females that pop up. Sorta reminds me of Luke/Leia/Han by the end of SW.
Even though I like Grune, I hope he’s actually dead in the physical form, it makes Panthro’s sacrifice more substantial. I look foward to seeing his mech arms, it’s pretty cool that the characters get upgrades and changes and the writers aren’t just going to keep some status quo going.
So my favorite shows are on hiatus now, this and The Walking Dead. Plus waiting for Avengers:EMH to start it’s second season. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

That scene is unquestionably Lion-o worst side brought to light however wether you care or not is not dictated by your ability to see the other side that’s handled by maturity and experience.
…And then there’s episode 5… :rolleyes: All I could think was, ‘didn’t you just get on Emrick for being reckless?’ But again, that is bringing some realism to his character, we sometimes only remember half of the things we’re taught, and have to continually be reminded of the other half, until eventually we get the full picture. And even then, we’ll still have to be reminded of learned lessons.
