Yea the Book of Omens, and now the stones are a big headache. I’m with you on the flaws of how quickly (and possibly easily) their finding of the book of omens was. Didn’t the ancient clerics go through snowlands, forests, all the way to the “ends of the earth” ? Nope “oh hey look what Snarf found?” But one could argue, “well now he has to know how to use that too.” Which is another lame-o addition. SO what they are saying is, we are not gonna see as much cool, guiding you with moral lessons Phantom Jaga as much since he’s in a book now? oh come on GGRRRAAHHHHHHHH!!!
If this rushing is due to how you pointed out that its the producers rushing for fear of the show not succeeding…you might be on to something. Seeing how they went from 26 episodes to what 52 confirmed now? A good thing. But Still like what 75-78 episodes empty as opposed to the original’s run? I understand it’s not fair to compare this to the original and vice versa, but they have so much source material and the time, how are they still going about it so wrong in several key areas?
It’s possible she wasn’t ready to emotionally invest in a relationship with him before when she was focused on her training. Also, she may have believed he didn’t remember her. ::thoughtful expression::
I also think she thought he didn’t remember her. I think his expression when he caught her in Magi Oar might have gave her enough courage to speak up on it. Like maybe he does remember me after all.
it is assumed that it was discussed in the time lapse between when they came out of the Astral Plane and during the party when Cheetara approached Tygra
they didnt show it, so we really dont know exactly what or how much she was told, nor by whom
Im pretty sure it wasnt Tygra since she told him. I wondering if she is getting 3rd string info Idk, why would she be thrilled to hear they fought it out again seems a crappy way to start this romance. Especially since the sword did work against Tygra
That might have had something to do with the Astral Plane. Besides if Lion-O harnessed the same power that the sword has shown over the corse of the series then Tygra would have been annihilated.
Also, if Tygra was evil why not leave Lion-O in that pit to die? What would he get out of waiting to snuff his brother later over doing it now? He didnt know for sure that the group knew about Anet’s vision.
He could have told everyone that Lion-O died in the Astral Plan and there was nothing he could do to save him. I doubt they want to turn Tygra into the big bad.
I dont think she was thrilled that they fought in the AP. She admitted that some of the tension between the two brothers could have stemmed from her not being clear about her feelings. Which is why she’s coming clean now.
Ok then Lion-o would have killed his brother. Lion-o was holding back you don’t just defeat the duelist and lose to your brother. He goes all out Mum-ra killed father ya sure. Tygra and don’t get me wrong I’m not a hater on him but he was definitely out to hurt his brother.
That is why it’s aggravating as to how it all currently resolved. Two brothers possibly driven to killing each other over a ownership of the Sword of Omens and Cheetara, although it could be safe to say Cheetara was the more motivating factor. They come to their senses (thankfully) and tighten their brotherly love.
Fast forward and Cheetara is just, in a giddy mood and practically seemed flattered by Tygra letting his emotions and anger, and possibly Mumm-Ra’s manipulation get the best of him to the point he almost kills his brother in the Astral Plane over her… however, despite the fact Lion-O figured out Mumm-Ra’s presence with them, it seems Mumm-Ra didn’t really have to do that much manipulation anyway to get them fighting each other.
Exactly. I’ve seen it debated about Cheetara role. If she is sister/mother or even a Guidance why would she just settle the romance? Wouldn’t she tell them to both Grow up and start acting like family since there the only family they have left?
That would have been great for her to do like 3-4 episodes ago, give or take. Still keep the result of her and Tygra together, but whether she intentionally meant it or not, don’t lead on Lion-O like that. Plus she must have known Lion-O had a thing for her already established since the first episode when Lion-O called her out on her following and she playfully play’s hard to get by back flipping away with a smirk. And when Snarf interrupted their talk and when the Wilykittens teased them.
That would have been a wise thing for her to say at that moment, but naahhhh! lets just hook her up with someone as soon as possible and cause possible further dilemma between the brothers at a point where they need to work on getting along and understanding one another after nearly killing each other.
Honestly there’s better ways to resolving this. They had it when he caught her I mean give me something like Thanks Tiger! It could be corny but still interaction. Show love back and forth not play one and flashback another.
If Tygra said enough Lion-o I’m not going to fight you over Cheetara and ruin or friendship and brotherly bond or treat her like an object. Then bam Cheetara says I was always yours then yeah I get that. Lesson learned don’t try and kill me then kiss the girl at the end of the show
Agreed, she couldn’t have been that oblivious. Seeing her smirks seems to show she read him like an open book.
Yea ! if they had that playful banter episodes earlier, would have helped pave the way for Cheetara and Tygra much more smoother.
And it would have been awesome if Tygra tried to bring some kind of peaceful talk like that to Lion-O in the Astral Plane. but nope, all we got was “You took the sword and You took her!”.
cheetara comes across as looking terrible in this,it seems very unlikely she had no idea lion-o had something more than brotherly feelings toward her. I don’t think that is what the writers were going for.
She’s not terrible, especially with the love triangle issues, just questionable things…And reading on how the Thundercats crew blog hinted on continuing the love triangle further is sounds ridiculous. After this the only thing logical to do is have Lion-O bite his knuckles, move on, build a stronger bond of the team, get stronger himself and understand the Sword of Omens along with the treasures of Thundera, unify the animals against Mumm-Ra and bring back a New Thundera, possible a more diverse Thundera with the unified animals.
Also relationship wise, focus on building Cheetara and Tygra’s relationship without anymore hassle. And, not making it a “consolation prize” and simply there to satisfy Lion-O, but to make it interesting and keep Lion-O on his toes when Pumyra or another female lead is introduced with her own notable traits and contributions to the team.
I wonder how they’re going to continue the triangle without making lion-o looking like a sore loser. the longer this goes on the worse all three of them is going to look.
