I was having a thought last night about Tygra breaking the log. He walked across the log and was then shaking it. I’ll bet there’d be a good chance that he didn’t intend to break it, that he didn’t that he would have been strong enough to do that. It could be that he kicked the log as he did to again try to shake it to scare Lion-O and was shocked when it broke. Possible. I’d like to give Tygra the benefit of the doubt.
it is very possible that he kicked it to rock it harder, not expecting it to break. then ran off to get help cause there was no way (at least no way that i could see) that he would have actually been able to help Lion-O back up by himself.
of course they didnt really show it like that, cause they were setting up Tygra to look like a bad guy for a tense lead up to the fight
Yeah, and then Tygra intentionally kicked Lion-O into the pit. That was no accident.
On Tygra’s actions:
You know I think I can forgive Tygra because I wasn’t the nicest kid either growing up, I have quite a few siblings and was by far the model citizen with grades, behavior etc I still didn’t get much notice so it often turned to jealousy and I’ve done some HORRIBLE things to my siblings that I’m sure people would think I was a vicious evil kid with mental issues. I too got some ugly treatment when they felt I myself was being favored is the funny part.
I was pushed off a bunkbed by my sister and my collarbone broken when I was only six, I shoved my brother down a steephill on his bike that ended up with him having stitches down his shin.
These things didn’t make us evil just jealous and emotionally ruled by it at times, sibling rivalry at its worst.
My point is jealousy IS VERY ugly, but happens all the time where children who have less impulse control than adults do terrible things.
Its a COMMON occurence especially in male dominated household to be more aggressive (though I was quite the aggressive female in a primarily female house)
I’m definitely the peacemaker now but I had a lot of time to grow and trials that made me (and us all) work out our issues with each other. I really think thats all Tygra needs too.

I’m kind of glad they resisted that here, personally. I always felt they were ripping-off Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars whenever he appeared to Luke in spirit form. Also, it seemed like whenever Lion-O was in a bind, Jaga would just conveniently show up and give him the crucial bit of info he needed to know. Both things annoyed me, and apparently it also annoyed the showrunners, too which is why they’re not doing this. I like that the Lion-O in this version is able to figure things out for himself (like in “The Forest of Magi-Oar”) and not have the answers handed to him by an interdimensional yenta.
I also like the lack of Jaga. But I feel Lion-o hit the floor running and ordering everyone around too easily.

A three fight episode; again too little in the character development department, no matter the past glimpses. Even with the Kiss? Yes, because there has not been enough backstory to make me feel for these characters as people. That takes more than 3 minutes of development per episode. So please, again, can we have an episode totally devoid of fights?

Personally, I kind of like having fights or action sequences in every episode. Maybe it’s just because I’m a guy, and guys like that sort of thing. But I like to have action scenes to balance out the more dialogue-heavy or quieter moments. One movie that I thought was pretty clever in integrating action with moments of philosophical introspection was The Matrix: Reloaded. I remember one person likening it to “My Dinner With Andre on the Hindenburg.” I wish more stories did that sort of thing.

Besides, I don’t think Mumm-Ra will kiss Tygra. And if that was the case, after all was revealed, Tygra would have kissed ot only a guy (I doubt the show would like to go into there), but a bad guy.

I kinda suspect Lion-O will be more passive aggressive and go more Lone Wolf-ish. After all who is he gonna whine to? Tygra? Cheetara? 
Panthro wouldn’t give a damn. And the kids are kids. So all that is likely left for him is to brood quietly and take rash /semi violent actions to lash out. I would think.
We’ll probably get the Willa and Company later on. I don’t know about the Mole People, but hey, Lion-O has to unite the animals, so I think the Moles will definitely be there.

Well lets assume that it’s final. Tygra and Cheetara get together and all that, what was the point? Why would they not atleast create some sort of interaction between Tygra and Cheetara that didn’t involve Tygra critizicing Lion-o and Cheetara treating him like dirt? I mean even if you support this pairing (nothing wrong with that) or not you have to admit it was sloppy writing at best, absolute pointless drama for nothing:mad:. At first they (correct me if i’m wrong) they portrayed Tygra as this overachieving big brother who’s better then his brother in every way (his father even stated that Lion’o should be more like Tygra) but as the show progressed Lion-o gians more positive features while Tygra only becomes more petty and competative. AND THEN! suddenly they gain on a late night meeting an apiffany “No let’s just go OS on this and rewrite the characters despite all the previous interactions the fans are idiots anyway they will buy everything we say and to explain we’ll give then a crappy flashback and some last minute drawed kiss scene and will make them fill in the blanks and plotholes themselves”. I mean come on! is it to much to ask for a coheren’t and logical story (i know it’s fiction) where character interaction and a planned storyline not popular opinion guides the story’s progression? Am i the only one who feels a little offended that they expect us to buy into everything they put on the screen just becoause we like the show.

First, when did Cheetara treat Lion-O like dirt? The brothers situation has changed and what we were shown was their responses to it. Lion-O is now king, something Tygra never wanted, it’s suddenly thrust upon him, and there is really no one there to check him. Perhaps Cheetara will do that more now. Yes, he’s going to act like a complete jerk, besides having the emotional turmoil of seemingly losing everything you’ve held dear for years.

It’s not perfect, but come on. Something I’ve hated about entertainment for years is having everything handed to us as though we’re infants. If I wanted that, I’d watch Nick Jr. I 'd like to say more, but I gotta head out. Catch ya later.

I could have used a little more of a dynamic between CheeTygra before the kiss. The love story was cute, but would have been all the more awesome with a conversation or two. They did just have the longest conversation between group members not involving Lion-O, but thats a problem with every relationship in this series. If it doesn’t involve Lion-O then it has probably two or three lines in it, most likely pertaining to Lion-O.Shrug

I think the drama will have a point. It’ll probably end with Lion-O growing and maturing into a better person. He’s the king, lately he’s been walking around a bit entitled because of it. Getting pretty much everything he wants. He’s not getting the girl though, and it has nothing to do with him being king or not. She was harboring feelings for someone else and is now acting on them. While Cheetara and Tygra haven’t said all that much to each other on screen, they do spend quite a lot of time close to each other. Maybe we were suppose to be picking up on an implied closeness. Once again most of this show has been focused on Lion-O. Even the relationships with Lion-O are lacking
Lion-O/Tygra: 2 lines of arguing every 4 episodes (excluding finale)
Lion-O/Cheetara: Cheer lion-O up, give Lion-O encouragement.Flirting or not hugely debatable and debated.
Lion-O/Panthro: one conflict that was settled in the same episode
Lion-O/Twins: One conflict that was settled in the same episode.
Tygra/Cheetara: Quiet familiarity and a past that was detailed in two episodes. In that flashback we got more of Cheetara’s foundation and personality. We learn that Tygra is almost directly responsible for her being a cleric. Heck this could be why Cheetara is adamant in her support for Lion-O. She knows what it can mean to a person to know that someone is there for you and believes you can do it. I think they’ve both seen different sides of eachother and that is a development that shouldnt be ..shirked

I obviously dont see the flashback as crappy. What makes you think the kiss was drawn last minuet? (besides it being the last scene) I thought it looked damn good.

A long time ago I realized something. I was 17 years old and it came to me, cartoons are no longer being written with me in mind ( never really were, but eh.) Sure that doesn’t excuse poor writing but the people their trying to satisfy are little boys. Little boys who will beg their relatives to buy them the new Lion-O doll at Walmart. When it comes down to it, whether or not fans in their 20s buy into it is of little importance.
