This review definately is what I feel about this episode. While it may not be a plot developing episode (remains to be seen whether the Berbils will have a strong role in helping the Thundercats against Mumm-Ra) it was a salute to the original series and felt very much like one of the old classic Thundercats episodes (Song of the Petalars is another of the current episodes that give off that ‘classic’ feeling for different reasons).
Bit late to the party due to being in a cold/flu/medicated haze for a few days (heeh…rhyme…).

I have to say this is one of my top favorite episodes so far. I mean, you almost can’t have TC without Berbils, in my opinion.
Love, love, love, love the new design of the Berbils. I want one. If I had more patience with sewing and crafty things like my mother does, I’d make a plushie.
And I think one of the most exciting moments for me was seeing Snowmeow. I have no idea why but I’ve always loved Snowmeow! Totally looking forward to a visit to Hook Mountain!
No complaints at all about the ep, and it’s nice that the show’s back on. It was such a relief coming home from an extremely busy day (not feeling well on top of it all) and curling up under my covers and watching Thundercats.

Um… :eek: she’s a ficticious character incapable of making choices. She is however the creators, artists, and writers create her to be. But I digress, I apologize if the term upset anyone, it was not my intention to offend. Just expressing my dissatisfaction for how they’ve reinvented her character.
I wasn’t talking specifically about Cheetara there, but about women in general and how they should be allowed to wear what they want without people calling them names.
Edit: And to explain why I have a problem with people calling fictional women hos for wearing revealing clothes, it’s because it can be disempowering for real women and because it can reinforce this idea that it’s okay to judge people based on what they’re wearing. If you want to discuss this further, feel free to send me a pm.
Finally got to see it. Berbils really are so cute, I liked how Panthro came around to love them in the end, probably their best buddy now. While the episode the cute and all, it honestly wasn’t one of the better ones. Wily Kit and Kat voice actors were horrible in this one, their acting was just off. As to the moral of the story, if they were trying to convey the message of how slavery is not right, then they did a poor job of it.
As to the part where Lion-O makes the call, for signalling purposes, I’m a little disappointed they resorted to the same footage. Despite having bit of zoom here and there, it was the same thing. I thought the devs said that each call would be different and they not would imitate the original series in this regard. But so far they’ve been doing the same.
O and love the new modifications to the Thundertank, its even more awesome now . Regardless of few disappointments I’m glad Berbils are included in this new series, and I’m sure they’ll come in handy for future episodes.
It seems like I may be in the minority here, however I wasn’t a fan of this episode at all. I am a big fan of the Berbils in the original series and was happy to see them back and that they kept the original robotic voices, however this episode just felt so “kiddie” to me. I’m tired of Kit and Kat just being thrown in there for non-comical filler scenes and I just don’t get that “oh ****, here comes Lion-O to kick everyone’s ass” feeling like I did / do in the original. Perhaps I am too much of a fan of the original but there are just some things that are so simple I wish they would add in, such as all of their eyes lighting up when Lion-O signals the Thundercats. It just gives you that feeling of “oh hell yeah here we go”.
Another thing I have noticed is how fast some of these new episodes move. Perhaps that is why I liked episodes like The Drifter and The Petalers so much, they seemed like slower paced episodes which really gave the plot time to thicken. Again, I know I am referencing the old series again and perhaps that is not fair, however in the same amount of time a new episode takes, the old episodes seemed to move slower and yet get much more in there story telling wise.
I did like the design of the main enemy and the Berbil village was beautifully drawn.
It’s ok, Code. I knew what you were getting at, and I for one wasn’t put off by it in the slightest. Everyone’s got their opinion. Personally, I didn’t even catch it. I think I might have gone into the kitchen at that point to make a Frito pie. (Ask me what that is later.) Frankly, I’m surprised no one was offended by me saying I thought the kittens were acting like they were on Meth or crack after eating the candy fruit!:o
Yeah, I hear you on that. I’m all for women wearing hardly any clothing or none at all if they wish.

Oh for God’s sake will people please stop complaining about Cheetara’s clothes already? The ONLY parts not covered is her navel and a little bit of cleavage. Need I remind you that the original Cheetara not only wore a leotard that left nothing to the imagination she was even NAKED in the premiere. She is a runner in runner clothing. From the way people react you’d think she was running around in a bikini or even naked. This isn’t the 60s. Her outfit is not showing any naughty bits. And they’re not going to change her design halfway through the season. Please just get over it already.
It’s tricky to hear and I’m sure Bill’s wife is Bella. Do you think that’s a reference to a certain series of vampire novels?

I agree and when your best asset is speed, too much armor will only slow you down. Some of histories fiercest warriors have gone into battle naked on purpose just to freak out their enemies.
I’m pretty sure it was Berbil Belle, same as the original.

P.S the only things I wanna share of my opinion of the new Cheetara are that her boobs r massive in some episodes (maybe inappropriately so for kids…I’m fine with it suprisingly!! lol) and the little lines on her lower belly/sides/navel?? that tend to be there with athletic people…they’re a bit cheeky n suggestive IMO!
I don’t think so. As far as I remember, Belle was also her name in the OS.
