We are finally back with a new episode! To kick the resumed series off is episode 9 “Berbils”. In this thread there are no spoiler tags needed, as the title has a spoiler warning!

More like Panthro knows about as much as the Berbils concerning engineering and he just didn’t feel like sitting there.
If anything, I found it hilarious that Panthro is such a softie. This felt more like a partial Panthro episode than anything else since Panthro was a bit part of the episode and all.
Loved this episode. For once it wasn’t the “Lion-O show” and we got to see each member of the team get some action (loved that shot of Tygra jumping up, wrapping the whip around himself, and turning invisible). Though this still seemed like a very “Panthro-centric” episode and I want to have a Cheetara or a Tyrga episode by now.
Also I would like a few darker episodes. the last couple have been pretty light hearted imo.
Anyway I liked it. I think this one’s in my top 3 so far. It really reminded me of the OS.
Yeah, but Panthro doesn’t know that much about engineering. It is established that technology was recently discovered so it doesn’t make sense that he’d assume to know more about technological beings than they themselves know. A small nitpick, obviously, but these are the things that bother me.
actually we don’t know how much Panthro knows. He’s been gone for over 10 years. Also we now know that technology isn’t nearly as scarce as the Thunderians believed it was so he could’ve easily learned in the years he was gone, even before they found Mumm-Ra’s pyramid. I doubt very seriously they were in wilderness that whole time. The only person that said they found no tech was Grune and he wasn’t exactly the most trustworthy source.
Good point, Balgus. I guess I’ll just have to trust he knows what he is doing.
I honestly thought the slave trader character was going to be a setup for Tug Mug after seeing the previews. I thought the battle with the Thundertank would cause his vehicle to explode and he’d suffer injuries to his legs making him adopt the tri-pod design we’re familiar with. I guess it’s a little too much to ask for them to set up the Lunataks subtly over time.
Wow! You are right. I’m hoping that means they aren’t reading these forums for complaints and ideas or else I worry that they may think some of the ideas from the more depraved members here may end up on the show.
Yep, I was thinking this was the same thing. Otherwise, how would Panthro be able to maintain the Thundertank as he has been doing? It was a ‘hunk of junk’ before the Berbils made a new engine for it (and got Panthro crying in happiness) and so it needed alot of maintenance.
