This is more how I envision him being like in the NS. Kind of like the “wild man/loner” of the group.

I think there are too mane characters already, and too many young characters to say more. Pantrho is the only really “old” one, and he acts as a kid lately.

I think a) another chaarcter will just bee too much to handle, that’s why I think Bengali could be a one-ep guest (or a three-ep arc or something), and b) he should be older.

I actually agree with monothingie. I don’t think him being old would be a good choice, considering he would be the most drastic change from OS to NS. Plus, if Lynx-O appears, then you got your old character.

My vision of what Bengali should be is more of a really quiet, lonesome character who is really good at fighting but doesn’t talk much. Most likely due to someone/some people he lost during the fall. He’d most likely be a little younger than Lion-O and Pumyra (they seem about the same age). I would like him to keep his blacksmith status as well. He would look up to Tygra a lot and maybe have some backstory where he was an outcast from the tiger clan for being white (More racism in this series! Yay!). Oh yeah, and he will have NO ROMANTIC INVOLVEMENT WITH ANYONE.

yes, yes and yes! (although personally, with that said I feel like he’d be more of a military man - fighting to stay strong not only for home but for his love life that is there… yeah I’m sort of doing a Black Bird reference - sue me!)

But you also have to admit I feel like since the majority of our group here already consists of characters set in their late teens, a Ben-Gali in his late 20’s wouldn’t hurt as much. (but at the same time if he was a bit older than Kat and Kit, it could link the age gap there)

Tygra was supposedly the only Tiger in Thundera so I don’t believe Bengali will have ever been to Thundera

So it honestly leaves a lot of room for a backstory. He could have easily lived in the slums of Thundera (but I feel like Lion-O would have noticed), or he could have been a nomad, and came to Thundera to be a blacksmith. (in that case he could’ve lied about who he was or his origins to anyone who asked)

there is a very big difference between blacksmiths and concierge doctors - blacksmiths never make house calls. and there are blacksmiths like the Drifter, who hardly ever interact with others. The idea may have had a loop hole, but it’s a very easy hole to cover up.

Hi sorry for being late in the thread, but if there is a season 2 and if Bengali shows up I would want him to be a little different from his 80’s counterpart well personality wise. Like maybe quiet and shy I still want him to be a blacksmith for Thundera and to have a big hamer for a weapon. Oh and have no relation to Tygra and his tiger clan. I want Bengali to have his own backstory with his own clan.

I think because we already have a hot headed tiger in the group, there will without a doubt be changes to Ben-Gali’s personality. Not to mention, who doesn’t want a character who happens to have a giant weapon for whatever reason? XD

I also agree with his relations - if he isn’t associated with the same tiger clan as Tygra, it would be the best way to go at it.

Would it be interesting if Bengali had the ability to create life-like illusions in other people’s minds. (Like Tygra’s mind-power in the OS.) And the ability to see one’s inner thoughts and emotions?

I don’t think I’d like that.

I was expecting to see Tygra doing it because of his OS abilities. He didn’t, and I’m not sure if I’d like any other character having that ability. I know it’s a different series and all that, but still…

It’s like if they decided to make Lynxo the fast one instead of Cheetara, or the one with the sixth sense. To me, if Cheetara didn’t have it, I wouldn’t like to see it in another character. Same with Tygra.

I have no problem with that, it will just make it easier to phase out the Tygra character like they did in TOS. :eek:

I want Bengali on the 2011 show so long as he doesn’t take away Tygra’s limelight like he did in the OS.

I agree with that. Tygra disappeared almost completly in the last episodes of the OS but then again so did Pumyra. I don’t see Pumyra in this cartoon disappearing anytime soon. In the NS the introduction of new characters have been done very well so I’m not worried that our favourite characters will shrink at all.^^

I kind of like the idea that Bengali would have the mental ability. It was never really developed with Tygra in the OS. He used it once then we never saw it again.

I wish we could have seen his new design, but personally I hope he’ll look a little like the picture that Orcagirl2001 on deviantArt made.
