I still feel a bit dizzy after remembering that OS episode in which he used the ASOE to become “Snarfro Ever Living.”
I think I would prefer a redone of the ThunderCats with a different group of writers and artist creating a new version of the Thundercats similar to the X-men, batman or spiderman. Different artwork different story line same good guys and bad guys. I like the new show but I would love to see if someone could do it better/different. Each time a classic is remade the new team has to respond to what the last/others have done and I love that. We could begin to compare this show with the OS and the newer Thundercats.
Meh, I think if they tried to do that they would take too many liberties and throw everything off track.
I would rather see them go back and do a prequel series with Leo, Panthera et al. and explain what happened after the events in “Legacy”, particularly how the cats lost all three of the stones and why they abandoned technology.
I wouldn’t want a next-gen series just yet because I feel like there’s a lot of mileage still left in the characters we have now. Maybe a few seasons down the line, if we get that far.

Exactly. Things like what happened to the stones, how the spaceship caused the Petalars to be carried to the Briar Forest, Leo and Panthera getting married and founding Thundera, then banishing Tygus and his clan, etc…I’d like that. But if they did a next-gen story, I’d rather they made a short out of it, like they did with ‘Snarf: Butterfly Blues’, which was a bit like a prequel itself.

I don’t understand what you mean. This show has taken several “liberties” there are no people in this version just for starts.
If no “liberties” are taken then there is no reason to remake any show
This show has taken an understandable amount of liberties to make the show better. I fear if they just simply tried to remake it AGAIN they would try to make sure it wouldn’t be like this show or the OS, and therefore change things that should not be.
oh I don’t agree I think you could tell the story 10 different ways and still stay within the core values and themes, but that doesn’t mean some knucklehead won’t take it too far. There is a movie with Abraham Lincoln as a vampire slayer for goodness sakes!:duh:

I would definitely give it a shot. I dont know how it would be but I would definitely watch it. I was actually wondering this same thing during the “Forever Bag” episode. Those kids who were also thieves seemed like a good edition and realistically all around fun to watch. A teen titans esque show I think would be fun with the kittens, some new characters, and those thieves.
It would make a fantastic series if done right.
Personally, I would like a multiverse interference making the new characters meet the old. Maybe Mumm-Ra’s last resort being an alternative dimension’s Spirits of Evil? :rolleyes:
Kind of like what happened with the Turtles Forever movie but of course without rediculing the old characters. For crying out loud, the old turtles were fearless, not cowardly babies!
Seeing the old universe without any design changes apart from modernization of animation techniques (kind of like the vintage intro) would blow my mind. Imagine a first meeting dialogue like this:
Old Panthro: “Blast it! What in the world happened to me in that universe?”
New Panthro: “Well, you appear to be through much less tough times.”
OP: “No way! I guess I was just more lucky in terms of permanent damage.”
NP: “There’s no luck in raw battle, just guts!”
OP: “Guts? Let’s see about that”
(Old remade Panthro music plays and an epic fight begins)

Yeah, but I don’t think that would work without all the original voice actors.
A universe clash would be awesome . but not as part of the series as it would make it kinda rididilous . maybe just on tv shorts . like the one they had with Snarf
I love the artstyle of this show and I wouldn’t change it . plus , after writing the first series the writers will have the experience and deep knowledge about all the characters , places , events , etc . that took place in the first series and THIS is what’s going to make the next gen so good . if they just started from zero again , then what have we done by that? instead of keeping the many excellencies of this version , and smoothing the flaws it has , making an even tighter story . we might get (perhaps) that Thundercats rockband show after all :duh:
I like the artwork on the show but that doesn’t mean a different design wouldn’t be great as-well. That is the wonderful thing about art there is no one style, a prequel or a next gen does not smooth out flaws anymore or less than redone does. The fear that a new show may be worse is not a good reason for not creating one, there have been plenty on bad prequels and Next Gen. I do want a second season of this one MOST IMPORTANTLY after this the story is complete I will revisit the prequel/Next Gen vs redone conversation:cool:
