A next gen continuation to the show

I know it’s kinda early , but it still crossed my mind… lets say the show will be over after finishing it’s planned 52 episodes . with all characters introduced , the world explored , Mum-ra defeated , the thundercatslair built , and even a new cat city …

Would you watch a show that occures on the next generation? something that will be more of a “teen” show . sorta like what Legend of Korra is to the Last airbender . or Young Justice is to Justice legaue . where this proved to be a good idea…

completely new characters , being the kids of the original ones , new enemies . and different aproach to conflicts and relationships . something like outta of a fan fic …

(all of this , instead of just turning them into kids like the classic show did)

I would still wanna watch it if it’s related to Thundercats. Maybe it could be that Lion-O is as old as Claudus was at the start or so far ahead that Cheetara is the new “Jaga” as she is a cleric and all.

I would definitely be interested in something like this. Maybe like a mini-series or something would be cool.

Yeah she could train a new generation of clerics since they all died in the start of this show…

so what is the next gen liono’s son gonna look like and who would be the next big evil for the new gen thundercats to defeat. the idea sounds pretty cool and in terms of story, the writers might have more leeway to tell a more free and structured story and not have to retell a story.

Following the comics, and combining them with the new series, I think a next generation would have Lion-o as a king and Pumyra as the Queen, with Panthro as the main General, Cheetara as the main Cleric (she could re-establish the order) and Tygra as the main Counselor.

They (Panthrto, Cheetara and Tygra) would train Lion-o’s and Pumyra’s kids, along with Wilycub and Wylicat, Tygra and Cheetara’s twins. All of them would be lead by Wylikit and Wylikat, who are already older against a new thread.

Keep WilyKit and WilyKat in it as the resident adults to mentor the new team and provide a link to the previous series.

Exactly. I think the other adult TCs (Lion-o, Tygra, Cheetara, Pantrho and Pumyra) can make special guest appearences in some eps, maybe in the first ep so they learn about a new danger and send the twins and the new TCs away in a mission, warning them bout the dangers and giving some advice.

One flaw; if Lion-O and everyone else is older, wouldn’t that make Panthro REALLY old? Otherwise that could make sense.

Only other thing I’d do is rename Tygra and Cheetara’s cubs.

You’re so right in the first point. Make Panthro the Counsellor and Tygra the General then :wink:

And I compeltely agree in the second point.

Exactly - thats what I ment with this :slight_smile: since after the show will end they will have everything already established (which is very important and I’m enjoying seeing this being made by this show) they will have alot more freedom with this

No, like literally have the next generation of ThunderCats. A.k.a the children/offspring/cubs/whatever of the current characters and maybe a few new ones.
