You can learn 2 things at a time, one maybe more “directly” and practical than the other, but at the end you’re learning something else that lies beneath.
The opening statement says “These were days of peace and prosperity on Third Earth.” Unless they are trying to deceive us they are already on Third Earth.
I noticed in the scene when the Sword of Omens is presented, the one who holds out the sword is Cheetara.
I just went to look at it, your right the cat that hands him the sword has the same leg disc that Cheetara has.

Sounds like a pretty heavy Frank Welker knockoff he’s doing – I don’t think Welker will be happy. (I read an interview with him once where he expressed some dismay that the guy who did Stitch’s voice had totally aped him, though he gave him the benefit of the doubt and said something like “Maybe he didn’t realize I was still working and available for roles.”)
I doubt it’s a heavy Frank Welker knockoff considering this voice actor is in Japan and may have never even heard Frank Welker.
Funny you say that, as Snarf did remind me a little bit of Uni from Dungeons & Dragons (and we all know how annoying fans found Uni to be! )
I think Snarf sounded cute. He is his old scared self but at least he isn’t rambling and whining now
Finally saw it and I really like the flow of the cartoon. The Japanese influence is obvious and the animation is smooth. I really cant wait to see how the story unfolds and the cartoon finds its rhythm.
I liked Uni. Uni was cute.
As for Snarf, I’m not sure I like his new “voice.” But shrugs I think I can overlook it.
Thats how I feel I think. I still think they could have left Snarf with a speaking voice, but made him less whiny. But I’m willing to overlook that.
My major concern is Tygra. His personality seems to be nothing like the original and I’m not sure the sibling rivalry between Lion-O and Tygra works…I’ll reserve judgment though until I’ve seen the complete episodes.
The story set up for Wilykat and Wilykit I love! I always hated that there were no explanation of where they came from in the original. Them being street orphans is a great set up to introduce them. I also like Cheetara looking out for Lion-O (could she be using her sixth sense to know when he is in danger?)
The animation and voice acting are great too.
Just the new take on Tygra I’m unsure of, being such a fan of Tygra in the original.
I don’t really like how Snarf sounds either. He doesn’t sound catlike to me, he sounds more mechanical than anything. Maybe they’ll reveal later in the show that Snarf is really a robot. :eek:
Tygra’s quote, “Now you see me. Now you don’t!” That’s a direct quote from Tygra in the original series. Nice touch.

However, IS IT JUST ME or does the first part of the footage resemble Disney’s Aladdin?
Lion-O goes to the marked in a cloak just like princess Jasmine did in the street market, he gets into trouble, gets saved by Cheetara and then he reveals that he is the prince… just like Jasmine did before Aladdin was captured!
Also the kittens steal food and then go to their hideout to eat it, just like Aladdin did with Abu… then they say that their life will change into of a life full of riches, exactly like Aladdin did with the view of the palace!
Maybe the writers are Disney fans? I do agree with you though.
The music also made me think of Aladdin.
