If I recall correctly he wore it just on Thundera. Oddly enough it is a picture of him just wearing the belt that was used on my magnetic board game.
In “Exodus”, Cheetara and Panthro both wore belts (wonder what those belst were holding, as they hada no other clothes), while neither Tygra, the twins or Lion-O did; Jaga though wore a kind of clothes and a cape. Oddly enough, they all wore boots :thumbsdown (Funny thing, Tygra and Wilykit’s botts were closed ion heels and toes, and then Jaga gave them open boots. What for?).
Then there’s the fact that neither Claudus, Lynx-O, Pumyra, Bengali or the guards used to wear clothes in Thudnera (and I assume, neither did the refugees they found in New Thundera). Maybe nudity was a Noble’s thing, like “Our bodies (of the Noble TCs) are noble and pure, while yours are not, they are shameful adn vulgar”… or something like that. But then why Claudus used to wear clothes?

It’s possible. But definitely strange that the later introduced Thundarians all had clothes. I always just assumed Bengali was also nude when I was younger.
Jaga clearly states (in Starr’s script) that they needed no protective clothing on their home planet. Even in the Flashback Grune is wearing clothes…but I suppose that was battle armour more than clothes.
Speaking of Claudis him and Jaga sharing the Sword of Omens was also very strange.

In “Mongor”, Tygra uses a radio to contact the other TCs (well, he actually didn’t get to use it, but he intended to), but just some eps earlier, Pantho introduced comlinks in their weapons.

My guess is that Jaga understood the Sword of Omens more than even ThunderCat Lords who’ve used it.

We addressed this in the continuity order thread. Best theory I could think of was, put it right after “Out Of Sight”, in which he overloaded the whip, and say that Panthro hadn’t gotten round to fixing the communications module in it yet.

But…aside from once it was always Jaga that was associated with the sword. Even the Thundarian Guard mentioned seeing the blade carried by Jaga.

In my head canon, I figured that Claudus was Lord of the Thundercats until he lost his sight. Since he was no longer able to utilize the Sword’s Sight Beyond Sight, he responsibly made Jaga the lord in his stead.

That’s exactly what I believe happened as well.
I’ve just checked “Thundercubs Part I” for the flashback sequence. We do indeed see a young Jaga wielding the Sword Of Omens in that. Meaning Claudus must have lost his sight at a very early age. Do we know exactly when he did lose it?
