Argentina just demolished Serbia and Montenegro… A quality display by a promising young Argerntina Side. The second goal by CAMBIASSO was amazing quality.. about 20 passes, brilliant goal.
I think this was a performance this world cup has needed. I just hope England win against Sweden otherwise we could draw Argentina in the next round..
To sum up.. Very Impressed:D
Todays matches..
The big games of today involved France and Brazil.. Both looked very average and a shell of their usual selves.
Brazil - 2 Australia - 0
Despite what looks like a comfortable win on paper… Australia were very unlucky not to get more from the game. Excluding the goals it was a very even game. After Adriano’s goal at the start of the second half, Australia had numerous goal scoring opertunities. Ronaldo was again missing that killer touch and Brazil wer lucky to take all 3 points.
France - 1 Korea - 1
This was a very entertaining game. A well taken goal by Henry got the game started for France who proceeded to dominated the first half. Failing to finish the game off Korea began to make themselves opportunities. Eventually they broke through with a fortunate looping shot from Manchester United’s Park Ji Sung! …France could be in trouble if they don’t improve..
Japan - 0 Croatia - 0
Was not gripped by the game at all..don’t think I even watched the second half..
Looking forward to watching Spain again tommorow..
Italy - 1 USA - 1
Can’t believe I forgot to mention this game… USA did amazing.. I know the whole dynamics of the game were tossing and turning with every booking given by the mentalist referee..
But still…very entertaining..
Germany - 3, Ecuador - 0

I must say this was a very entertaining game. We soo should have won, but what can you expect (we never beat Sweden). Any way we won the group and won’t play Germany next round.. That would be some serious inter-thread rivalry between me and [COLOR=“DarkRed”]thunderkittensmom 
lol.. Anyway Bring on Ecuador!!

Joe Coles goa was special, Gerrards was a nice header. The ones we conceeded were poor goals though, especially the last one!!

To be honest I think he’s deadwood anyway. He hasn’t played well at all in the tournament, so I doubt he would be missed from the side.

What can I say, this game was a big disapointment. These two great teams cancled each other out! Just looked a draw all the way through..

Yeh it sucks that Michael Owen has gone home, but he wasn’t exactly playing that amazing anyway. I really don’t think we stand a chance after this round. We only have 1 fully fit striker who had played at the top level, one youth player and a recoving striker. So god help us if one of them got injured!
After Ecuador who I think England can beat, we will get a good team who demolish us.. Oh well nothing new there!

Yeh the USA were a little unlucky. They conceeded a penalty at 1-1 and it was not even close to being a penalty.. If that had not gone in I think they could have won.. The Italy game was not amazing.. Italy stroled to a 2-0 victory. Brazil V Japan later.. That should be entertaining..
Brazil - 4 Japan - 1
What a great game… The first half was quite average until Japan scored! This really put Brazil under pressure and forced them to show what they were about. In true Brazillian style they proceeded to score 4. Ronaldo showed us the skill that we all knew he had, but again raised questions about his overall fitness. Ronaldo’s second goal was the best for me.. a slick interchange between him and Ronaldinho and a great turn and shot.
Good luck to Ghana who play them in the next round!:eyepopping:

All I can say is WHAT A GOAL..:jaw: RODRIGUEZ has scored the goal of the tornament in my eyes.. Mexico were so unlucky, any other day they might have got a victory.. But that goal deserved to win any game! Good luck Germany,… you WILL need it!! lol

OMG…England are going to get violated in the next round!.. How we won that I will never know. Glad to see Beckham score though! I was so fustrated during that game :irked: lol I seriously think that is it for us now! Anyway.. we won.. lets see who we get later Portugal or Netherlands lol…

Guess England goes against Portugal now.
The England game wasn’t too great, but they are always lucky…at least that’s how it seems
