Just a poll to see what people think will happen. When the series finale episode airs, will Lion-O have a lady in his life? Will there be someone for him to kiss in the final episode? Regardless of who it might be, do you think the writers will have him find love by the show’s end?
Probably not. They already had one “romance” and i doubt they’ll want to make another one when they’re already working on trying to get another season. And with Lion-o’s luck Pumyra will be with Bengali before Lion-o has a chance to talk to her.

I remember someone posting a response from Crew of Omens. Something along the lines of Pumyra having lots of episodes devoted to her.
Seeings as Lion-O is the lead, she’s gotta be sharing it with him.

Love is complicated. It’s fun for a while but dragged out in a series it’s just pure annoying. I hope they don’t rush things with him getting a girl, let him focus on the mission. IF some girl arrive that he likes i hope they say something like “when all this is over…” and that actually happens.
With that said i think love should exist. I just don’t want him to get a girlfriend at this point. Meet girls, talk tot them, share a bound with them sure what ever but he does not have time with a girlfriend and i hope he realises it aswell.
Let Cheetara and Tygra be the love duo for now. Let THEM facing the problems of being in love in a war and leave Lion-O be so he can be the king, leader and warrior Third earth needs.

Since they are close to the trials already that means the other Thundercats will be getting introduced soon. But in the mean time it wouldn’t be too far fetched for him to find some strange.
I honestly don’t care. But since he’s King, he’ll have a Queen eventually.
I voted “hope not”, not because I don’t like Lion-o, but because I really think his journey should focus on him growing up, maturing and getting to become a great leader and king, and I think a romance would spoil all that.
Besides, one romantic story in the show is enough, this is TCs, not Barbie and her friends 
I’m hoping he wouldn’t. It just seems to me his journey is a little more far beyond than finding a love interest alongside his quest. I also wouldn’t mind if his journey ends with him dying somehow after defeating Mumm-Ra (or whoever the major threat would be). I always expected Cheetara to end up with Tygra, which would work better since Lion-O is expected to ascend to a whole different level, if that makes any sense. To forgo and sacrifice much of his own desires in order to accomplish his mission, to me that is bit more epic than having a complete happy ending.
one of the biggest complaints about the conclusion ATLA was that it looked like a Deus ex Machina. Aang was suppose to sacrifice his feelings for the greater good. I dont remember the specifics but he didnt have to sacrifice anything to become great. Some thought that was too good of a moral lesson to pass up.
It would have taught a great lesson about being self-less.
I would prefer only one love story. Preferably between supporting cast/not the lead character. That way its mostly background and it has less of a chance at overshadowing anyone.
I’m a bit biased on this. I want to see a well developed relationship subplot that one can feel for. That’s what I loved about Airbender’s shippings, despite some not being the ones I rooted for, in they end they all felt right.
But love isn’t all there is to the world, alot of fans across many fandoms need to realize that. Our society is so shallow that it has shoved that thought into our culture’s subconcious, that a love interest is like a necessity in a good story.
It isn’t. But a well developed and thought out one can usually make things a bit better.
I keep seeing the end of The Last Airbender where Aang got the girl and I just have this clear image in my head of seeing Lion-O standing triumphantly with a battlefield behind him, with his arm wrapped around a lady and his other hand holding the Sword of Omens, the wind blowing through their hair, and this hero look on his face. I just have a very clear visual. I don’t see it being Cheetara though. I see her having brown hair. Probably looking more similar to the chic Leo befriended but not quite as dark.

I imagined the last episode will be Lion-O’s wedding to a character we don’t know about right now.
If Lion-O marries by series end, then I vote for the wedding to happen before the finale and for it to be his wife at his side in the scene I invision. I can see him falling in love with someone they meet along the journey and then having a small ceremony in the woods somewhere. And after that, for the final battle to take place.

personally hoping he finds someone. Really he’s the only Thundercat to never to really get a romantic relationship. come to think of it, Lion O and Wilykat (possibly Bengali have to look that up) are the only males NOT to have an actual fully formed romantic relationship with Cheetara… kitty gets around :eek:
I’m still not ruling out that Lion-O/Cheetara isn’t around the corner. as I said, he’s the only mature Thundercat to not get a shot at her. Not against Tygra/Cheetara but I’ve seen that in the comics, same with Panthro/Cheetara. Lion-O/Cheetara is fresh and I like it. Until Pumyra’s introduced and I see how she’s handled and her relation with Lion-O, I stand by that.
On top of that, the 2011 Tygra is really kind of a whiny jerk in my opinion, Cheetara remembers the sweet guy who stood by her, perhaps she hasn’t seen the spoiled brat constantly complaining because he didn’t get to be king.If Tygra would turn around and be more like the zen heroic Tygra from the 80’s I’d be more receptive of her choosing him. But if he keeps his whiny brat ways, I expect to see staff to head or crotch before it’s over.
Plus TV series stigma, first season pair ups very seldom end happily.
I hope he does find someone as well.
To be fair, both Lion-O and Tygra have been acting like whiny brats. And, in a sense that’s understandable since they are royalty. But Cheetara did have the right to choose and she chose Tygra, Despite how Tygra and Lion-O made her into a competition piece… Anyway, Lion-O and Tygra still have obstacles to go through, in terms of the adventure and between each other.
Has their sibling feud been completely resolved in the last episode? Hard to say. And if the romance between Tygra and Cheetara starts to wane during season 2 or 3, well, that will suck for the two. However, with Pumyra, and it seems she’s the likely candidate since its vaguely revealed by the production crew that she will have episodes devoted to her, makes you think exactly what she may happen to be involved in to have said episodes around her.
But yea, if Pumyra is the true love for Lion-O, she should not be so easily won over. It would be cool to see her actually keep Lion-O guessing and on his toes, romantically and possibly have her question Lion-O’s bad judgements, not as extreme as Tygra has been doing but more reasonable.
Lion O started out just as whiny as Tygra but where Tygra has continued to gripe and complain, Lion-O has shown far more emotional growth and maturity. Every ep shows Lion-O shaping into a great king, while Tygra is reminding me more and more of Scar from Lion King every ep.
Still too early to tell either way in any case. far as we know, Pumyra will steal Tygra away and Cheetara will go to Lion O. Or Lion O could be frozen in the book of omens like the comic, pop out and fall for an older Wilykit.
Also Tygra and the forest girl from the old show seemed to have a thing, if she shows up could see that rocking the boat. It’s anyone’s ballgame and that’s what I love about this show right now!
We could toss pairings back and forth and ideas for hundreds of posts. Things can go many, many different ways. But personally I’m seeing the odds not in favor for Cheetara/Tygra. and how they handle Pumyra will be my deciding factor for who I support with Lion O. Who ever ends up with who I’m still enjoying the ride LOL
