So if and when this movie gets made, which characters do you think should be included, or left out?
I think that since it’s going back to the beginning, they should leav out Pumyra, Bengali, and Lynx-O as main characters, but I sure wouldn’t mind seeing them in some sort of cameo, possiblly during the evactuation of thundera.
I wouldn’t mind Snarf at all, but I would hope they make him a bit more usefull and a bit less annoying.
I deffinately want to see Berbils and Forest Maidens.
On the Villians side of things, I assume we’ll get Mumm-Ra and the Mutants. I really don’t want to see the Lunataks or the Berzerkers. I wouldn’t mind a reference or acknowledgement of their existance, but I’d rather this movie Establish Mumm-Ra as the Ultimate Big-Bad.
If the movie does well enough to generate a sequel, then we can get to the “New Thundercats” and introduce another villain group, Like the Berzerkers.
what i would hate to see is hollywood screw up another movie about my favourite heroes. anyone remember streetfighter? nuff said.besides, i doubt wether any hollywood actor can do liono and the gang any justice…
No doubt on that streetfighter movie. Nice concept and all, but they f’d up character stories and made bad actor choices, especially with JCVD. But I would definitely hate to see hollywood mess up a hero movie like this, so I’m definitely with you blackmetalpanth!
On another note, I don’t necessarily have ideas for who to play who, but when I was looking for a thundercat insignia for my avatar, I came across this picture showing various stars as thundercats. I’m not quite sure whether or not this is the real deal for the upcoming movie, but this is it.
Looks like we have Hugh Jackman to play Tygra, Michael Clark Duncan for Panthro, Hayden Christiansen for I think Lion-O, but then the girl they have here for Cheetara, I’m not quite sure who she is, but at the same time, she looks very familiar to me. Does anybody have the slightest idea of her name?
Sitll, casting choices and potential flops aside, which charactersdo other fans want to see in the movie?
With so many villians, would there be enough room in a single movie to show them all? Should the movie stay focused on only Mumm-Ra and the Mutants as the bad guys? Which mutants? Should someone like Ratar-O be in the movie?
What about the good guys? Should Pumyra, Bengali and Lynx-o be there from the start, should they be introduced down the road IF there is a sequel, or left out all together?
This wasn’t meant to be a thread about what actors should be used, or if the movie should be made at all, there are other threads for that. I just want to know what characters the general fan community expect to see in the film.

Thanks upinout, you’re right. That is definitely Uma Thurman. Thanks for the id help there. Now that I look at it closer, I now realize that that’s a photoshopped pic. Whoever did it did a pretty dam good job on turning those celebs into thundercats, so props to whoever did that, whether they’re on this board or not!
I’d like to see the new Thundercats in the movie or the sequel. Having them in there adds the possibility of added depth to the plot by having some kind of class-based subplot(given the idea from the series that the original thundercats are the nobles while the new ones were middle class or working class).
I would love to see them still complete.Just have a twist with the story and new martial art techniques will be great.I’m excited to watch the next incoming movie.
