I just asking. I prefer the older one, but I like the comics and the newer one though. :liono
I like both shows. 
Classic cartoon. Although I did like the comics also.
I honestly enjoy them all, but have to give the edge to the Classic.
I kind of like the newer show, if only because it had so much potential
Honestly, they are equally the same for me. Classic one can be little funny with Mumm-Ra and few other characters, though newer one has an interesting darker side to it. So it’s really divided for me. I hope a new incarnation is much more balanced.

Anywho! I’m not familiar with the comics so I’ll skip 'em. But frankly I don’t feel apt to saying “The new one is better than the old, or the reverse” As I think they are exact opposite of one other. Everything the old did exceptionally well the new did poorly, and everything the old did poorly the new did very well. I enjoy them both immensely. The old for it’s judgement-free, spaghetti at the walls, adventure time having. The new for its… Schadenfreude. And both are full of literature reference.
I swear they need to bring the old one back to Boomerang or Cartoon Network.
Classic series. In my opinion, the 2011 series doesn’t hold a candle to the Rankin and Bass incarnation of the show.
I like the newer one more cause of the story and that it’s no “monster of the week” show which the old one could feel like most of the time. The new one felt more serious and dark with a deeper back story which i really liked. IMO the 2011 series is the best remake we could have got concept wise.
I’m a big, big fan of the 2011 series. I loved the look and the designs and the voice actors and the concepts. But I gotta give the edge to the Original. It’s more complete. It’s always been one of my favorite shows. And best of all it didn’t end with a bunch of stuff unresolved.
Since my original post on this thread I have re-watched the entire series of the 2011 series and my answer is still the same. I still prefer the OS and the comics. Although I can appreciate the NS more for what it is and it is quite enjoyable it will never surpass the original for me. The OS had a simple story, likeable characters and wonderful worlds with various characters.
The NS had so much potential but due to the wrong people working on the show it failed to accomplish this potential.
I must say the NS got to grow on me, but still prefer the OS, specially before the new TCs and Lunattacks were introduced.
Old school for me as well. Enjoyed the new cartoon but I can watch the old school on a loop and be ok with it.
I think they are both fantastic and really enjoy each of them in their own right. If push comes to shove I have to give the nod to the OS as well. Part of it may be the fact that the OS has so many more characters, episodes and a much longer storyline that is more fleshed out. I would have really liked to see what the NS could have become given the chance to fulfill its storyline.
