So the first 13 is season 1 but they having a mid-break after the 8 ep and show the rest w/ some of the 2nd season eps? thats a strange way for CN to handle it, I guess we should call it season 1.1 and season 1.2 hehe
I knew there wasn’t going to be a new episode this Friday but I was not mentally prepared that there were no plans for new episodes for at least six weeks. Soul. Crushing. Sadness.
I think its like 26 episodes is the first season. The whole story of the season. But the way CN schedules things or something it’s only considered 13 episodes as the season.
That is the mind blowingly ignorant.
At least they’re not waiting until the entire first season is done before releasing the toyline the way Transformers has done… multiple times.
Sweeps months are May and November, so hopefully we’ll get some really good episodes during that time. 
Btw the title for episode 9 is “Berbils.” Confirmed on Thundercats.ws who said the info came directly from WB.
If I recall from our car conversation correctly, back in January 2011, Matthew Mercer said that he was going back into the studio that Thursday to record the next 13 episodes, which he called season two. So all along, the whole season thing has been very confusing to me based on what he said (if I recalled correctly), and what came up on the boards. At this point, I figure when they show the shows, they show them. I am concerned with a six week gap though because it is the out of sight/out of mind syndrome. Hard to build ratings momentum and keep it if you don’t know when the show is on. And I have always been wary of CN after the Angry Beavers debacle.
Besides the British catching up, and the DVD release, I bet the animation department is also scrambling.

I don’t know how I feel about a DVD release this early on in the game. Is 8 episodes really worth creating a DVD for? Unless it’s in Blu Ray and jam packed with hours of extra stuff, I can’t see myself buying it.
most cartoons start speed loading dvds as soon as they can, usually with only like 4 episodes per dvd
In all honesty this is the first “cartoon” I am watching / following right from it’s inception in a long time so I guess I am a bit out of touch with how they handle things these days. I felt WB absolutely dropped the ball with the DVD release of TOS. Here’s hoping they handle the new series with much more care. A Blu Ray release with 5.1 would be nice.

I’m pretty happy with this series so far. I’ll wait for 6 weeks without too much griping.
I really hope this series and toy line does not go the way that MOTU did back in 02-03. Cartoon network replayed the same 8 or so episodes to death and Mattel’s case assortments left ridiculous amounts of peg cloggers. The line died after about 26 episodes just when it was getting good.
These 6 weeks are going by too slowly! I’d kill for some new interviews or previews or something to help tide us over.
Until then, there’s always YouTube or the recordings you’ve saved.
Or torrent sites you know, i think that’s where most people watch it from.

By Jaga, seriously. Be patient people. If you’re all acting like this for a small 6 week hiatus, I cannot imagine how ya’ll act during the wait between seasons 1 & 2. XP
Play with your toys. Writer fanfiction. Draw fanart. Discuss. There’s plenty to keep us entertained till October. Two weeks have gone by in a flash!
Problem is that they cut it off at a really bad time when the show pretty much just started. At least when a show like Thundercats ends for a season, it usually has some closure to it and the next season will set up the next bad guy.
