Whats your top 10 collectible toy lines?

Although Im a hardcore Thundercats collector I think as far as popularity Star Wars tops it all. Here’s my top 10

Pretty much 80’s toys are now making a comeback and I think theyre here to stay. Power Rangers are not much of a collectable as of now but I think giving it a couple of yeras they will be items that people will definitely look for. As recent as 1998 Thundercats were being sold at discount stores in the UK for less than 5 dollars…Im talking Jagas,Bengalis,Pumyras…pretty much the series 3 stuff. Ive heard of Thundercats in the 90’s to be fairly affordable but with the release of the DVD’s the toy line has taken off and seen a price hike of double and even threefold for the rarer pieces. MASK is also seeing a resurgence…if you have the money i think 2 toy lines to definitely invest on is MASK and the first series Power Rangers

I really think M.A.S.K. will take a good hike in prices. Its a toy line that is just waiting to take off, same with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

The only real toyline I collect is Thundercats. I do however pick up the odds bits from the 200x MOTU line.

As for toys in my posession and what I’ve collected over the years would be:

1/Thundercats
2/MOTU 200x
3/MOTU (classic)
4/TMNT (classic)
5/Lego

So the only ones I actively collect are in bold and the positions in the list are based on the amount of money I’ve spent on each in the last 5 years. Thundercats made it to the number 1 position by a mile! :wink: (which is pretty much expected with the price of carded figures)

Just curious Neil…no need to answer if you choose not to but with current Ebay prices how much is your Thundercats collection worth. I know you at least paid a good penny, or pence should i say for your Toy Options WilyKat and the Toy Options Tygra.

I know i left out star wars but i feel that they have been over hyped for too long and their collectability should slow down soon enough. I’m sure that some of my choices might be odd to some, but we are in an 80s’ and a mild 90s’ cartoon boom and they’re are still some toylines to experience resurges.

It’s not really that I choose not to, but the fact I’m not sure. Maybe you could do an estimate for me Manny if I post a list. I don’t really visit Ebay as much as I used to for Thundercats and I know you do so you’d probably have a better idea.

Ok Neil…well this is gonna be tough but I’ll edit your post with prices for carded figures. Now this is a rough average…MISB command much higher prices, the prices as you know are the averages Ive taken over thelast few months but it should give you an idea what you have :slight_smile: Your post has been edited with prices next to each and a grand total at the bottom, thats not including though your loose collection which i estimate to probably be worth over $500

I definitely don?t have ten but here goes

  1. Star Trek ? Rather large Collection
  2. He-man 200X ? Just about complete
  3. Thundercats ? I had most of them all at one time, but due to: years passing, getting married, having kids and moving they are scattered and who knows where. I have managed to locate a few and I am very seriously considering starting new.
  4. Power Rangers (used to collect but gave up due to space and just got tired of it)
  5. Voltron (There?s really no collection here but I had both Lion and Vehicle Voltrons when I was just a wee little tot, but by a jealous friends hands they were permanently separated. (ooohh still hurts to this day!)

Well there?s 5 that?s it. I?m not rich?..yet!
