It seems everyday I am seeing more and more of those bidders driving up the prices of things. Are these real people? Fakers used to drive up eBay prices?

I’ve seen those as well, but not for all bidders. I read on another forum, eBay was keeping all bidders private. But, I can still read some.
I have wondered that myself, but I do believe that whoever have those Z***Z buyer names are legitimate because I’ve fought with one from Texas tooth and nail for 'Cats items repeatedly!
I don’t like not being able to see their bidding history and all of that though. If E-bay is going to secret people’s information they should do it for all of the bidders.
But I really don’t care, if theres something I can’t not live without, I like all of you are going to fight for it.
Ebay has been doing that if the auction goes over $200.00. I think they are going to start doing that for all auctions soon regardless if its over 200 or not.
Yes, it appears upon further inspection that they are making everyones “buying” id private. So instead of being able to tell who is bidding on what, they mask your identity with those *** names.

That was the first thing I thought about as well. Now you don’t have any possibility of contacting anybody on ebay. So much more making ebay better…
You got that right! I like to be able to have the courtesy to tell a fellow bidder that they have put a cigarette out in my posterior and I’m bowing out but now you can’t do that. I’ve changed my mind about not knowing who I’m bidding against too! I would like to know who it is and what they’ve been buying so I can have an idea of how serious they are about something I’m bidding on against them.
