Well, I think you’ve named pretty much every show that aired during the 80’s.:smiley:

I did watch most of those, but the only ones that had any long lasting impact on me were as follows;

“Thundercats”
“He-Man and The Masters of the Universe”
“The Real Ghostbusters”
“She-Ra”
“Voltron”

And thankfully I own all (except Voltron) on DVD. I will get around to buying those voltron DVD’s eventually… At least I know they’re available!:thumbsup:

As for movies, the only one’s that I really remember are disney flicks… My grandma took me to see sleeping beauty in the early 80’s, and that one stands out mostly because it was a grandma event (my god I still miss her like I just lost her yesterday, but it’s been nearly 10 years now since she passed)

I was particularly enthrawled with “The Little Mermaid”.. I think that was still in the 80’s (late 80’s). That’s all that comes to mind.. except of course for “He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword”.

I always liked the “big 3” (MOTU, TF, and GI Joe) but also Thudarr the Barbarian, Looney Toons, Dungeons and Dragons, and T-Cats, of course. :smiley:

Dark Crystal (not really animated, but puppets are close enough lol)

Well “Dark Crystal” is really live-action with puppets, say Coldwin and Kyle what about animated movies from that time?

I thought live-action meant there were human actors in there somewhere. I don’t recall a single one in that movie. Definitely not animated either way though, which I conceded :wink:

The only animated one I can think of is Transformers. I do love me some Dark Crystal as well.

Ok so “Dark Crystal” does count as an animated movie and i added it on my list, that movie is one of my tops of all time since i was 3.

But how about other stuff like “Akira”, “Heavy Metal”, “Fire and Ice”, “Pink Floyd The Wall”, “Totoro”, “Flight of Dragons”, “American Tail”, “Oliver and Company”, “Great Mouse Detective”, “Secret of the Sword”, “Roger Rabbit” etc.?

Oooh “Pryde of the X-Men”, that’s a good one. Although it wasn’t a movie but it was a special.

I loved Silverhawks, Tigersharks and Thundercats practically equally. I preferred the Joe comics to the toons, but I’m a huge Joe-head, so it counts as love. lol

Bionic Six was another animated love afair. My favorite ‘independent’ property of them all!

MASK was great fun, too. I hated the size of the toys but loved the cartoon. As a kid I only owned Hurricane and Wildcat, but as an adult? I had almost everything before losing them all in a move cross country. Yeah, quite the suck, I know.

One of my all time faves along with Thundercats… All episodes had meaning and were thought out very well.. And a soundtrack just as awesome as the Thundercats
