I agree. Dont really like the “stones” story. Only the power stone seemed to be special, mostly cause it was the “Eye of Thundera”. The other stones just sit on the armor. Sure we never knew what the last stone did but probably something the same as the other ones.
The stones story would work if maybe the stones also were used on the weapon, could change or.. Ah i dunno. DONT LIKE IT!
Don’t loose any sleep about not being able to join He-Man.Org. I couldn’t join either but I have been on the forums and I have seen the mentality of the fans on there. You express an opinion over there that they don’t agree with and they go mad. That site is full of nothing but Mattel and Four Horsemen fanboys arguing how Mattel/4H can do no wrong on one side then the other complaining about the obvious problems with Mattel.
Any disagreements on here have been extremely small compared to what goes on with the MOTU fans, they are always complaining about something…although in fairness Mattel causes a lot of that themselves lol. Believe me this is a far more civilised place for discussions. :liono

Yeah, i have a video on youtube where i put the old Sight Beyond Sight music on the new one. I like it better that way.
It would be interesting to see what OTHER directions they wanted to go. Obviously they had more ideas than those they used.
I like the new compositions a lot more, especially because they didn’t recycle the same 4-5 songs over 130 episodes. I know that isn’t the composer’s fault, but it made each song seem less special.

get rid of the tigra/lion-o rivalry…dont make them brothers it takes away from the main character
use more of the OS characters(safari Joe, Mongor, Cracker, Hachiman, Berserkers, Lunatacs Snowman…etc…)
still cant get over the paper villains…what were they thinking…
There were a lot of missed opportunities with character selection for example:
-duelist and drifter: perfect opportunity for Hachiman to appear, maybe have them duel and earn each others respect at the end…
-The one with the guy hunting the berbils: perfect for Safari Joe
-The fish sea people: perfect for Berserkers
Add more fighting scenes where they’re eyes light up when called by the eye of Thunders
Have the characters look more feline-ish…I mean Panthro looked like a Gorilla than panther.
Dr.Slump is right, each cat should have their own tune…that what made the show, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
All in all I think we can all bash the new series now since it failed us lol. Nothing personal Mr Norton 
I didn’t mind Lion-O and Tygra being brothers, and I didn’t mind them having a rivalry. The problem was how antagonistic the rivalry was. It should’ve been more like Leonardo and Raphael on TMNT. They fight, they disagree, and everything, but it’s balanced with moments of them being brotherly and coming to understand one another.
What I would’ve done differently:
I would NOT have had the Ramlak episode right after the premiere. I probably would’ve skipped the fish people altogether to be honest. The premiere was such a great start, and then that episode was so completely different in tone (aside from the funeral and Mumm-ra’s pyramid at the end) that it put a lot of people off from the show.
The whole love triangle thing wasn’t needed and just made people angry. I would’ve just had a slow and steady progression of Cheetara and Tygra getting to know each other and flirting until they were finally a couple. And yeah maybe Lion-O could’ve had a crush on her too, but I would’ve handled it in a way where he knew she didn’t like him back.
I would’ve made it so once lesson learned, they didn’t revert back to old behavior so easily.
More OS characters. Especially villains (though I know they were building up and had more planned for the next season).
Them finding the Book of Omens should’ve been the mid-season finale. They found it too quickly.
And yes I would’ve liked revamped versions of more of the old music. I read somewhere that Kevin Kliesch had more songs from the OS available than he actually used. He just chose not to use them. The music was pretty, but entirely forgettable.
And Lastly I would’ve introduced the Bird City sooner. Into the Astral Plane and Between Brothers was a much more satisfying finale than What Lies Above, in part, because we were introduced to the Elephants earlier.
Loved the art direction. Everything was beautiful. Great voice cast. Some really great ideas. The overall plot was very well thought out IMO. It’s just that the writing for each episode didn’t flow as well together as it could have. And sometimes I think they tried to be more kid friendly than they should have. Young Justice and Avatar TLA are good examples of great action shows that didn’t dumb things down for kids.

I’m going to talk about the book.
I agree they found it way too fast. They talked about it on trailers i think, made it “so special”, that is “far away” hidden somewhere and they just.. Found it.. like nothing happend really. I mean they almost did not even try to get there. We just saw them walking saying somehting about “we need to find the book” and more walking and WOPS now they are at the temple. I kinda felt that was what happend the whole show. When something HAPPEND it was fine, but it either happend way to fast, way to slow ow just in weird places you never expected.
I did not like the ramlak episode but i also did not really like the Petlars. They are cute, and the episode was great on it’s own, but as an episode for this show i did not like it. Especially right after the pilot which was so so good.
IMO, they should have put more focus on the journey to the book. While doing that, do all the things you mentioned about the brothers, the love triangle. Like i’ve and other people have said so many times it just feels like they did not know what they wanted to do with this show. It became something “half done”.
Sigh… I dunno what more to say, i could beat this to death about what i think could be better but i still like the show. I had fun with it, and will always remember what they tried to do. They did a very good job trying to reinvent the show and it just did not work. I really think that if they would make a second season that it would redeem itself but now we will never know.

One glass of romantic relationships
Mix all of the ingredients into a container of Code of Thundera and cook at Justice, Truth, Honor, and Loyalty degrees. Serve as desired. Do not forget the main characters of the 1985 ThunderCats.

What I would do different from the 2011 series in a new revamp:
Keep the same OS “Exodus” origin, only add more details along the way. I’d also find a way to establish Leonard Starr’s original idea of Third Earth being our Earth after atomic conflagration.
I’d take the OS design of each character, and then “subtly” update it. Not too drastic a change(think going from a Christopher Reeve- looking Superman to a Henry Cavill- looking Superman).
Keep the OS motif for each of the characters, and in further episodes build more upon them.
I would have Lion-O be a 13-year old kid who then finds himself in a 22- year old body.
Bring in more characters from the OS, and give each their adequate presentation for new and older audiences.
I’d put in a little more action than the 2011 series did.
Have the appropriate drama that the concept deserves without sacrificing the pacing of the story and a potential fun factor.
Romance? Yes, it’s part of the package nowadays. I’d have Tygra and Cheetara steadily becoming an item since the first episode. No love triangle here, thank you. Romance for Lion-O? We could see Lion-O, every now and then, engage in certain type of adventures in episodes that include Pumyra, Willa, Mandora, or some original character. Lion-O could develop a further relation with such a character when she is recurred in an episode.
I’d use the same type of epic musical score the 2011 series used.
I also want to add, how cool would it be to see Madhouse studio animate Thundercats! Just a thought.

They are good so i agree.
But Studio4 did a very good job with this job i think. The quality and everything is there and remember ti’s not their choice as to what the characters look like! I’m very sure the show would not have looked much different if bones did this or Studio4.
The character models would’ve been similar, but the animation would’ve been a bit different.
Though I’m not saying 4C did a bad job at all. The show was beautiful for the most part.
Studio 4C did a great job on the NS, though one episode (“Legacy”) was done by The Answer Studio.
