As summer approaches, I felt it was time to start a new thread!
Here’s the last couple of movies I watched:
Iron Man: Freaking amazing. With the exception of Batman Begins, this is the best comic book to movie adaptation ever. Better than Spider-Man IHMO.
Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls: It was a fun popcorn movie. I’ve never watched an Indy movie before so I really had no expectations. That being said, there were some super cheesy scenes for any movie. Vine-swinging FTL. :rolleyes: It was a fun movie, but I probably wouldn’t watch it again.
At Home:
Beowulf: Still trying to get through it. What I can say however, is that while the film looks great, the actual animation sucks. I wouldn’t want the ThunderCats movie to mimic Beowulf in that aspect.
In my Netflix Queue:
Indiana Jones Trilogy: After watching Indy 4, it piqued my interest for the other movies…so I’m going to rent the trilogy and see how Indy 4 stacks up.
I’m looking forward to the new Batman movie! Can’t wait! Oh and Han**** looks pretty good too!
Prince Caspian[/B]: I really dig this movie! I actually DETESTED the first Narnia movie, because of all the differences from the book, so I went into this one knowing it was not going to be like the book, and looked at it going it as more of a “fan fiction” type of thing—and that allowed me to really enjoy it! lol
At home:
Grease: What else needs to be said about this movie? One of the most fun and energetic movie musicals there was.
Batman was definitely the best movie of the summer, if not the year. I think Iron Man was a very close second. I REALLY thought Iron Man was a very good plot-driven movie in addition to being a big budget summer flick.
Yeah iron-man is definitly one of the best superhero flicks we’ve had. Not quite as good as the Dark Knight though, it’s biggest let down was the end fight that just wasn’t as well done as the rest of the film.
Iron Man: Never a big fan of Robert Downy Jr., but I think he did an amazing job. Could have gone for someone better looking to play Pepper, though. Looking forward to Iron Man 2!
Hulk: At first, I didn’t think of Ed Norton to be able to play bruce banner very well, but astonishingly enough, he did pretty well. Loved the end when Stark came in and talked a bit about the Avenger project. Looking forward to that one as well.
Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull: My first impression was that Harrison Ford was too old to do another IJ, but it was really good. I loved it.
Eagle Eye: Wow, what an amazing thrill-ride! Shia LeBouf has really grown since doing that stupid disney show Even Stevens, then the transformers movie, indie and the crystal skull, now this. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m never looking at a security camera the same ever again!
Batman Begins & The Dark Knight: Christian Bale has done a great job so far as Batman, and I have enjoyed both films.
Han****: Will Smith drunk on screen. Pathetic and funny at the same time. I loved how he was set off everytime someone called him an a-hole. When he sent that kid into orbit was too funny. When he landed and ran, it would have made that scene so much funnier if the kid peed himself.
007 Quantom of Solace: Yet again, Daniel Craig proves himself to be the nex best 007. However, the bodn girls were not hot enough AT ALL. The last major hottie bond girls were Denise Richards and Halle Berry. Plus, the one with the burn scars on her back truly looked fake. The Makeup department needs to get back on the ball and improve BIG TIME. Despite that, it was still one awesome movie. I can’t wait for the next one!
