Eminem’s Recovery
Today Eminem released his New album, Recovery almost a year after the Relapse. I’ve been listening to some of the new songs at Youtube. Man, the guy is a genius and not because he is one of the best-selling music artists in the world. What i mostly like about Em is that he is a genuine Artist with a capital A, from the first moment he entered the scene,10 years ago. He is making music straight from the heart,staying true to his thoughts and beliefs. It is so difficult to stay true in this music business overwhelmed with fake, phony who make a fortune and become celebrities by selling crap.
Eminem’s rapping delivers real emotions running the gamut from crazy, black comedy tracks like “The real Slim Shady” to deep and sophisticated songs like “If I had” or ‘the Way I am’. He is covering all the aspects of life. One thing i love in rap music is that lyrics can turn to a meaningful story-telling , an imaginative narration imbued with metaphors and a soul-searching fountain delineating each man’s spirit. Em is making music based on these. He could be Vincent Van Gogh but instead of a brush he is using a pen or a Poet with the only difference his verse goes faster..
