What makes Pumyra so special?

Pumyra is my favorite char and Toy but what was cool about the toy?

Pumyra is my absolute favorite. She?s just ? well, so cute. Now the toy figure of her does absolutely no justice to her. The figure is somewhat acceptable, but the pose and paint job need a serious overhaul.
Of course, this is pretty much true of all the figures.

I did buy a Pumyra custom figure a while back, and while the it?s cute because, well.. it?s Pumyra, it still needs a lot of work. :pumyraveryhappy:

And yes, I have toyed with making my own resin figure of her, but my sculpting talent are seriously lacking. Image a resin stick figure with a Tcat insignia, and you get the idea of my work. :duh:

Oh really?:eyepopping:
HOW AWESOME! Do you have pics?:pumyraveryhappy:

I guess the fact she was a NEW female character (the only other being Cheetara) makes her kinda special. Sometimes female figures in a boys toy line can be sorely lacking (especially in the 80’s and even more so today!)

Overall I think Pumyra was a good likeness to the cartoon, so I personally have no problem in that respect. However I think her playability could have been a little better. I don’t like her legs and how the bottom part of her dress swivels around with the leg. It just doesn’t look right in my opinion and I think her joints seem a little stiff. I have no idea if this is the case, but from handling Pumyra figures I get the feeling rough play could have broken her :frowning:

The reason I’m guessing here is because I never had Pumyra as a kid, so never got my hands on her until I bought one off Ebay in 2001.

So in closing, to answer the question posed here, I guess the fact she’s female and got a release make her special enough!

I agree,
but I wish they had developed her character more! :frowning:
