It’s the standard “What if Life wasn’t like this” kind of thing. What if Lion-O wasn’t the king of the Thundercats? What would become of his people then?
The only pro that i could think of for that is that Lion-O would be free to start a new life away from Claudus, Tygra and all the rest.
But i can’t really see the cons of this scenario. Lion-O was mocked, insulted and second guessed from day one, he can’t possible want to stay king. And if he was never the King, Slithe, the other Generals and the rest of the Lizard army would have little to no reason to kill him, same with Mumm-Ra and Pumyra.
i think if Liono wasn’t king or heir to the throne, Thundera even before it was destroyed would still be the same. Thundera would also still be destroyed and with the way Tygra was raised, rebuilding thundera after it’s fall would’ve been next to impossible.
Sounds like a good question for a fanfic. The “what if (make a wish)” storyline can never be beaten to death as of yet. But, srebak, you should write it.
You would have to assume that for some reason he was either not born to Claudus, or that he did something bad enough to not be eligible for the throne. Either way results in an extremely different outcome, most likely to the point where characters like Kit and Kat would not even be mentioned. I guess Panthro wouldn’t be either if the focus was on Lion-O. He’d probably, depending on the above scenarios, either live a normal life or just constantly be an outcast from Thundera.
Then he would probably just have a normal life. I don’t think there’s much more that could happen. He’d probably just grow up normal and just be a regular adult cat.
This question, to me, seems to bring more questions to mind. For instance, would Lion-O want to be king if he never knew about the criticism that can be associated with a leadership role? Would Tygra rule, or would another biological child get to have the throne? What if Thundera decided to not be some sort of monarchy? How close would Lion-O be to the royal family?
