After watching Ramlak Rising last week and seeing the flying ship, I thought instantly of hammer hand and his crew. I really hope he shows up in the series down the road. Then that got me thinking of what else I really would like to see redone In this series. So I picked my top five.
The Berserkers
Warrior maidens
Bengali, Pumyra and more of Lynxo
The thunder strike or Feliner (or even a new flying vehicle)
The lunataks
There is a lot more but I’ll just keep it at five for now.
Sky-cutter, Nosediver, Feliner, kittens’ flying surf planks etc
Snowman
The warrior maidens (curious to see if they have technology)
Captain Shiner
The Driller
I’d like to see some version of Mandora or Dr. Dometone; maybe not as humans, but…

Yes!! I just saw an image of her recently and I remembered her for the first time in ages. I would love to see her adapted in some form in the new series. Though I agree, not as a human, would be a bit weird in this new show.
I thought of that too. They could do that. The fish people could be easily altered and outfitted with “tech”
or I’m sure there are actual oceans and seas on 3rd earth that the berserkers
can be sailing on other than the sand sea. Who knows.
Safari Joe cracks me up (Safari Joe does it again!!!), but again I’m not sure he’d fit in with this version. Same with Mandora.
Lunataks, looks like there might be multiple heavenly bodies, why not the Moons of Plundarr? (Under different names I assume)

In one of the interviews (I forget which, there are so many) they said Plunn-dar is a mountain. Mt. Plunn-dar
And I doubt very seriously they merged the Berserkers with the fish people. Not only are the fish people not bad guys, but the only similarity between them is that they’re on a boat.
I hadn’t heard about Mt. Plunn-dar… I guess that could work. Seems like they, at least for now, are really sticking to the no space travel kind of thing.
As far as merging Berserkers and the fish people, I was just throwing that out there.
Doubtful that the Beserkers will return this time around… especially after reading the “Hear the roar” ThunderCats book. All of the writers etc deemed the episodes with these guys in as the low-points of the original series. And they’ve had fish people already (I know the Beserkers were baddies tho)
Safari Joe would be amazing, as would the Snowman, the Driller, Mongor, and Turmagar!
Do we know if we’re going to see Rataro in the new series? He always seemed like a badass.
And as a sidenote - what was the episode where the cats faced off against a huge robot tank thing? Was it Mechanical Plague? [EDIT: Noooooo, it was the Technopede from the Turmagar episode of course it was!}

I want to see the Lunatacs, Bengali, Lynx-O, and Pumyra, and the warrior maidens.
What the old writers thought about those episodes is irrelevant. All that matters is what the new writers thought of the characters and what they thought were “Iconic” parts of the show.
I wouldn’t want them with all the “toy” features they had, like the dude with the wheel in his chest or whatever, but a group of cybernetic Vikings would be cool as a concept if they do it right.
Mount Plunn-dar could work too. I suppose that the Lunataks wouldn’t necessarily have to appear together, either. Chilla could have a race of people in a cold region or something, for example.
Or they could just have them being from DarkSide, and say it’s a vast region influenced by the moon or something along those lines.
