Halloween is around the corner and it’s become custom for some to have horror movie marathons on Halloween.Sooooo…what are your Top 5 horror movies?

Here’s my ALL Star choice…in no particular order because well…theyre all good

Misery…although i wouldnt count that as horror but it is indeed a great movie. Well i guess it could be horrific for someone to go thru what that writer did

Well, thats psychological horror and I must admit it’s a kiddies movie when you read the book! He suffered much much more than in the movie (e.g., his foot was cut and not broken, to stop the hemorrhage she used a blow-torch. She also cut some of his fingers, etc).

I like some gore movies, but the majority of them are so cliché that it does not scare one enough (at least me). I really enjoyed HOSTEL when I saw it on the cinema, it was really dark, sadistic and it had that revenge cloud in the main character that normally horror movies don’t have (although I would like to see the alternate ending I read about somewhere, because it would be the most violent, sick ending ever!) since :

a) the “bad guy” kills all the teenagers and it’s back for a second, third part of the movie: Jason, Freddy, etc
b) the “bad guy” is finally killed with one shot or something that gives him a fast, unpainful death.

We never see a character that wants to take revenge on the “bad guy”, there isn’t much movies where the survivor tracks the bad guy and torture him like he was… There’s no “You bas tard, now you’re gonna pay”, handcuffs the “bad guy”, start a chainsaw [hear that distinctive sound] and then cut the guy!

I wish they make some real horror movies.. But then again, a Rated movie always makes less money that a PG-16 and money always wins… :frowning:

EDIT: Just remembered one of the best psychological horror ever! It´s a german movie caller [B]FUNNY GAMES[/B].

That was part of the plot in ‘The Devil’s Rejects.’ I actually enjoyed the story… it was just a little too violent and foul for repeated viewings.

Well, I could watch the part about the chicken a few more times… :smiley:
